awww poor Dag  :)

House stuff is makign me want to stab people in the eye. Basically, we can get out of our lease (without financial obligation) by either getting the owner to sign a letter agreeing to do so, or by going to court on grounds of safety and asking for our lease to be essentially cancelled. The court fees aren't expensive or anything, it is just a hassle and getting the dates to line up will be an absolute bitch. Our owner is a downright bastard and probably wont sign anyway, but if we don't try first the courts may not look on that favourably, if we do, the owner could get worse than he already is.

Also we have to look for somewhere else to live, this is time consuming and exhausting. We also wont have a reference from this owner (clearly we would be stupid to put him down as a reference) so we have to go with our last one. This may make it hard to get a property, depending on other applicants.

Overall my feeling right now is:

:) :) :D :yes :Surprise:
That Elephant is looking rather frayed at the edges

OK, after the miserably failed attempt to pretend that I'm just fine and that I can work like a horse in spite of high fever, nausea, stomach pains and huge pink turtles with hippie sunglasses playing twister on my desk, I went to see the Doc, and it turned out that I have a bad stomach flu and that I will have to stay in bed for TWO WHOLE DAYS. :) If I don't choke on the damn paracetamol that I just can't manage to flush down my dehydrated throat, I will certainly die of boredom... AAAARGH!!!

Poor beru...you have my sympathies.

Well, I have a headache from arguing with my brother. Seems a contradiction in terms but yeah.

I've got to live on £500 for 9 weeks, which'll be fun. My gf has also just made a decision which I find morally disgusting, and has made my opinion of her lower reasonably, which is never a good sign. On the plus side I just made some kick-arse roast potatoes though.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

It's Australia Day and a few friends and I were going to road trip to Adelaide to go to the cricket, but my friend crashed his car (the only one we could use) THE NIGHT BEFORE!!! ;)

Frustration and disappointment are too mild to describe what I'm feeling right now :D

I have always had periods where I don't feel connected to people at all (as opposed to minimally to moderately the rest of the time), as well as no energy, black moods, increasing desire to be left alone. But it's getting worse. So hard these days to put on the game face, a lot of the time I can't even be bothered trying. I just have to keep telling myself to "man up" and have a larger teaspoon of "harden the fuck up" with my weetbix.

It's Australia Day, everyone's getting into it. I'm not into celebrations at the best of times, but today I really, really couldn't give a shit at all. I just want to go to bed and have everyone here on base leave me the fuck alone for a few days.

Cheers,

La Sombra, can't even be bothered trying to be funny today. Apologies for having a sook, I just felt I had to say something, and there's nothing like teh interwebz for semi-anonymous ramblings. ;)
