I echo Sombra on sending you and your family all the positive vibes I can and hope that it is a form of cancer that can be fought.

My gran lived another 40 years after surviving breast cancer and a double mascectomy and medical science has improved in the last 60 years so stay strong and have hope.

Best wishes,

Thanks gang. She's had her surgery and the docs think they got all the cancer. She's home now but still pretty broken up about it.

Tough stuff.

Oh come now, it was a little funny. In the "Oh christ, did he really do that?" kind of funny.

Having one of my twice-yearly attacks of sciatica, so stuck home twisted into a pretzel shape.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I woke up at 5 this morning to go to the bathroom.
Once returned to my bed my leg cramped and lanced me with pain. It took 5 minutes of nearly crushing my leg, while feeling my muscle pulse as if it were an artery, to calm it down enough to allow me to stop holding it and not be in searing pain while having just woken up.
It still hurts.

Sounds like you could have a potassium deficiency DW my dear, it can cause some horrible night time cramping in the legs.
