Stupid tween bitches ruined my nana nap on the bus this afternoon by playing their music out loud. Some Miley Cyrus crap I think. I responded in true adult fashion by turning on my phone and belting out some Mastodon (it was only me and them on the bus). Their evil glares were reward enough. :band:

Not sure that it is a good move for a forum admin to admit to 'prowling' the miley cyrus forum. In fact, there might be legal action involved.

What a bunch of asshats. And I had to look up the word 'greebo', so these snooty bitches wasted more of my time trying to understand their stupid slang.

I'd have to find some tweens.
Unlike Cougar I don't hang around highschools like Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused fantasizing.

It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

In other news, I hate my business management course. I don't understand most of the stuff.

"Determine the payback period for a capital investment that costs $40,000 and has the following after-tax profits (the project outlay of $40,000 would be depreciated on a straight line basis for seven years to a zero salvage value):"

Wha....?

Depreciation: For tax purposes, anything that depreciates has an end salvage value of zero. Straight line basis probably means that a specific percentage (20% in the U.S. tax code) is allowed to be deducted every year; the percentage comes from the current adjusted basis for that year. Looks like you've got something that is the seven year class - look up the tables if you've got them.

I have no idea what a payback period is though.

you just divide 40k by 7 years, and that is the amount the investment is depreciated each year till zero, if it had a salvage value, you subtract from the initial investment first then divide it by 7 to get the per year depreciation.

I refuse to think about it. I will complain until it's due then hurriedly finish it and complain some more.

Business is stupid.

This is the correct response.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
