I forgot to go to my computer science midterm today!

I am now at the mercy of the lowest rated professor on campus and his incompetent stooge underlings.

Class failure. I did that many a times in both undergrad and a few not to be named law school classes.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Oh dear Stormy, I call that epic student failure, it's like a footballer failing to turn up for a game.

Most epic student failure I ever saw was one of my housemates at uni. I heard of a few people turning up to the wrong exam but my housemate went to the right exam to discover she had been going to the wrong lectures all semester!! How does that happen?!

Not everybody is an intellectual tyranosaur like you Mezla. I'm constantly astounded by how dense the student population are. Nothing should surprise you anymore.

On a related note. I've been working as a student assistant for one of my professors helping with grading papers, and I sort of gave the impression that I wanted to write my Master thesis for her. Now I finally got an answer from the professor I originally wanted to write for, and he had cooked up this awesome looking project involving some AI and stuff, so I signed up for that. Then when I show up at my employer's office with the last batch of corrected papers, she is having a meeting with a bunch of other professors cooking up some other awesome looking project, and of course she asks me if I want to hear all about it.

Why do professors wait until there is only a couple of weeks left of the deadline before they set up these things?
The leader, his audience still,
considered their scholarly will.
He lowered his head
and with anguish he said,
"But how will we teach them to kill?"

And if they are decent research academics then students are at the bottom of a very long list of priorities :killingme:

Messing with my groove: Personal demons. Why must we all have them? I'd rather be a boring drone than have to vent like an emo on the internet ;)

You may have slept on your neck wrong.
Try and get some one to give you a neck rub with a topical analgesic.

I can mostly move it now, I think I just pinched a nerve sleeping on it badly. I have my second job interview today as part of the restructure process. I really want the one I am going for today. Nervous O_O

My professor isn't giving me any makeup opportunity for the midterm. I got a zero.

Now I just need to ace the rest of the projects, the homeworks, and the final...
