The head of our department (probate) is in her sixties, so old school she was giving dinosaurs advice on their estates, and has quite the reputation for breaking secretaries.

Hers leaves on Friday. One of my solicitors just went on maternity leave, leaving me with an oh so inconvenient gap.

Accurate representation of feelings and expectations following the news I am indeed copping for her until they get a replacement sorted:

DRINKS!

It feels like my skull is trying to implode. Can this weather kindly go f*** itself? Thanks.

And I have this annoying quirk in my biology that when I'm on my period, my usual painkillers do not seem to work. Now THAT is messing up my day big time today.

The prospect of getting a wig, sewing another wig into it to thicken it up, and then adding extensions to make it overall 1 metre in length.

Dear mercy why

So you can become the president of the USA?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

A friend has been having suicidal thoughts for a long time now and did several dry runs over the last week while texting me about them. I tried to find a mobile crisis unit in his far away area, but couldn't. So I ended up being referred to the police by a psychiatric screening service and they did a wellness check on him. His family now knows due to his step mother being present while that happened.

He's furious, hates me, and is spewing hate and threats to me.

At least he's going to be alive to hate me.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Once he gets past this portion of his struggle....that hate will disappear. Right now he's not ready to accept being here on this planet, and you helped prevent him from removing himself from it. He is in the darkest place, and can't see the light yet. He will, with time, help, and healing.

Solid that you did the right thing for your friend. His anger will pass.

He'll thank you later, even if grudgingly. Hopefully.

As forme, I'm still having a headache, for the fifth day in a row. It was so bad last night, I seriously considered getting my ass to the ER. Would have if they hadn't closed down the only hospital within walking distance two years ago. Now sitting at the doctor's office. They don't even have water here, every other doctor's office I know at least has drinking water awailable on such hot days *deep sigh*

I may attend that one as well as it's just down the road. If I do, well... Don't blame me if the horror of my plans melts your mind into Lovecraftian horror soup.
