It's really strange how the human mind works.

Ocassional bouts of intense depression - like an hour each time. They are paralyzing. I just can't do anything when it happens.

Yesterday evening I basically ditched all work and just read for 3 hours. Helped a little bit.

Make sure you are getting your vitamins. You might be surprised at the difference if you up your B,D and omegas. I say this from experience.

Hey Maia, any warning labels about genital area? The zaps and burns on my nethers is a bit intimidating to think of.

I've used it on that area and haven't had any issues, though I'm careful to keep it on the lower intensity levels. I don't think that there are any restrictions per se, but obviously with sensitive areas you have to be careful. I've never had any irritation but it definitely did sting, at least until I got used to it. :cat:

Ugh, PT this morning:

Heaves, Pushups, squats and burpees. Starting at 10 reps each, then a 300m run including up and down stairs, then 9 reps each, 300m run, all the way down to 1. Which is better than the other day when we started at 20 reps and went down by 2's each time.
Then 5 x 200m sprints in pairs.
Then "Sally" (squat holds done to the tune of Moby's "Flowers") x 2.

I hurt now, but it's going to be worse tomorrow. And Thursday will be even worse - good old DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness). I know I should stretch more and maybe take some magnesium tablets, but I'm too buggered and I ran out of tablets and forgot to get more. :p

I'd get a massage, but I'd need 3 a week and they're not cheap. :cat:

Oh, and all this in 30+ degree heat with 70-90% humidity. I quite literally look like I've just stepped out of the shower afterward, fully clothed. Ew.

This is a "medium" session. The ones wearing body armour with a helmet on are the worst because the heat just can't escape. Good times.

PT 4 mornings a week, 45-75 mins. This does include warm up and cool down, thankfully.

EDIT: body armour sessions are usually less intensive as far as pushups and stuff goes, more walking/jogging carrying various weight loads, ropes, leopard crawling on the ground, some agility etc.

I am a horrible, horrible person for all the 'toxic crabby paddies' jokes that just ran through my head.
In my defence i suspect Hillenburg has already made them, because he's that kind of guy.

How is Stella treating y'all?

Sixteen inches already and more to come. It's shut down every job that's non critical and that's alright because it's not that cold.

This is the very best ski weather I've seen in about ten years though. The snow is 100% powder. All the slope bunnies who got to the slopes prior to the storm hitting must be having great days.

Yesterday night was something, it was snowing hard and the wind was so strong that it was basically a white-out. I peeked outside around 9 PM and it was empty; no pedestrians or cars, nada...it was very odd to see, because I live at the intersection of a 4 lane main street, so there's normally always some "action".

In terms of accumulation we didn't get a ton compared to past storms (less than 10 inches, with maybe another inch or two for today), but even this morning when I went out to shovel my stairs the wind was tossing it all over. At least the kids will enjoy a snow day today, not that I have any. :cat:

What a shitty shitty day.

I needed some important documentation, went to the boss. Boss sent me to office A. Office A sent me to office B, which is an hours drive. Office B gave me half the documentation and then said my boss would provide the rest.

So basically a circle of misery. I really really really hate bureaucracy. When people spend more time dealing with bureaucracy than doing their job there is a problem.

I hope I get to see something like that before I die. We have a famous pic from 1895 when 22 inches fell. If that ever happens again it ll be crazy

I see this 5-6 times per winter.
Trust me, it's overrated.

It sucks, but apparently a bunch of airlines do that and then claim that's part of how they can maintain the low prices.
