If it's not obvious by the number of posts I've made today, the exam that got cancelled due to snow (in Canada, ffs) is tomorrow and I'm procrastinating. (what's new?)

Sick kid. Fever, cough, throwing up.
Its awful, you just feel so fucking helpless.
This made me chuckle though. After throwing up the sausage and eggs she had for breakfast all over her high chair, as her mom was cleaning her up she picked up up a piece of sausage, dipped it in her vomit and offered it to her mom.
The half gag from my wife was pretty damn funny.

Aww, the Sequoia "tunnel tree" was brought down by a storm. Pretty major California landmark.

A little concerned... I found a lump on my breast this weekend and saw the dr today. She is sending me for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound this week. Maybe I am reading too much into this, but she said that if it IS cancer since it is so small then we "caught it early". I would have rather heard that it is "probably a cyst".

OK... appointment made for Friday. They said the radiologist will talk with me, so I will know right away their findings.

You're young, you live in the US, and even if it is anything you caught it early.
The odds are in your favor. My best wishes.

Someone on my twitter feed has posted a photo of their first ever credit card. The entire front of the card. Numbers, name, expiry date.
They seem to think that people can't use that without the CVV number on the back.
I tried to explain to them that they're wrong but they refuse to listen.
It would be wrong of me to book hotel rooms with their details, wouldn't it? It would only be to show them that I'm right, which is what really matters here.

I would totally order something small that I could then cancel and then show them the receipt
I'd also tell them that the address, expiry date, and last 4 numbers are enough for the card to be compromised. For example, people had their cards compromised due to the Steam caching back 1 (or 2?) years ago around Christmas. The bug only allowed you to see the above mentioned information.
