We had several kilogramms of fresh frozen fish. Since my mother absolutely cannot learn from past mistakes, she managed to defreeze all of that, supposedly meaning to cook/fry fish for dinner. Which she then decided - as usual - that she can't be arsed to. Now, ever tried to re-freeze fish that's already coated with stuff and such ready for frying, all mushed together? Like, several kilogramms? Where does one even get the freaking idea to defreeze so much fish hen you're alone at home? Or even for two people? When are we supposed to eat all that? The answer is, of course, that we cannot and we won't, cause her to moan about wasting food needlessly some more. But heavens beware if I point that out to her.

fuckin' flu. Achey joints and chest is fucked as well, while constantly shivering from the cold. So annoying.

Shit. I am an idiot.

I just got off the phone with a sales person from some phone company.

He caught me off guard and wanted to sell me a pretty good data plan for my phone. Which I thought was a great idea but he wanted me to close the deal immediately. Now this in and of itself isn't surprising, because that's how sales works, but he "just heard from his boss" that there was December offer he could still get me if I signed up right now. Again, I'm pretty sure there was no boss, he was just using tried and tested tactics.

But the dumb thing is that to get him off the phone I gave him my personal security number and the 16 digit number and ccv on my credit card... which was incredibly dumb of me. Even though he had a lot of info on me and "the background noise" was very authentic, this guy could just had been a scammer and I just gave him the keys to the vault.

I need to fucking think before I ever do something dumb like that again.

Now I am anxiously keeping an eye on my bank account and my e-mail to see if I actually receive a confirmation e-mail from the phone company.

now would be a good time for the admins to take over your account, proclaiming your love for putin and condemning accusations of russian hacking in the US election. Or pedobears.

Do yourself a HUGE favour. Call your CC company, and tell them what happened, and tell them to put a watch on your account. This way, and unscrupulous activity will be nailed early.

That said, this was a scam man. NO company worth it's salt will ASK you for your CC info over the phone like this. It's far too dangerous for them to do. As such, my guess is you just gave your CC number up to scammers.

If I were you, I'd call and cancel that card, and get a new one issued to you....just to pre-emptively cut off the scammers before they try anything. It also helps in that when they TRY to use the old card number, it's flagged and they will get caught.

But yeah, call and either warn your CC company that this might happen...or better yet cancel your current card, and get a new one.

Backing this up.

No authentic company will ask for those details over the phone. Ever. Cancel the card

Meh. I've paid for stuff over the phone.

On the other hand I lost a card recently and discovered my online banking system needs a single click to cancel and order a new one. It used to be a case of ringing up and trying to remember tonnes of passwords. So it might only take a jiffy if you're freaked out.

I contacted the company afterwards and they confirmed that a sales person had been in contact with me earlier.

So, I am not THAT worried but it was still ridiculously unsafe of me to just hand all that information over to a guy on the phone. I mean, for all I know, the guy kept a copy and a couple weeks from now he'll order himself a new PS4 and an Addidas wardrobe.

The thing is that this kind of practice is actually very common among all the phone companies I have dealt with. The Danish market is so cut throat that they desperately want to tie up a sale immediately. Screw safety measures, etc. I suspect that what he actually did was to manually create the form that the customer is supposed to fill out himself and just went ahead and checked all the boxes, etc.

But you're right about the card I plan on calling the bank later to keep an eye on the card.

Yeah, cancelling and ordering a new card is just a few buttons on my phone but I think there's a 30 dollar charge on ordering a new card or something like that so I'll try to avoid that.

I was all excited to get back to jiu jitsu after missing several classes for my vacation. Dislocated my shoulder and am out for who knows how long.

God damned bastard motherhood blogs crowding out my Facebook feed. I've never liked a single one but different friends like different ones so my feed is full of the stupid things. They all say the same "Oh I'm such a terrible mother" and "let's all support each other through the terrible hardships". JUST SHUT UP AND GET ON WITH YOUR FUCKING LIFE YOU SILLY SODS.

Hurrah For Gin, Totes Inappropes, Part Time Working Mummy, Bumb Baby and Me are serial offenders but there seem to be millions more. I can't escape them without culling my friends and that is getting increasingly tempting.

The worst part is that I get sucked into reading them. They're somehow more tempting than the Daily Mail. And then I get sucked into reading the comments which make me want to kill myself.

URGH.

You can click buttons that say "See less of this sort of post" on your Fbook. Upper right corner of the specific post, I think.
