I don't know about faces but do you shave in the direction the hair grows or against it? I'm not sure if it would affect razor burn but it will affect ingrown hairs.

Have you tried an electric razor?

Adding onto what Loki says, your face and neck probably has swirls in terms of which way the hair grows. Shaving against the grain in the little spots will increase the likelihood of shaving too close, taking skin off, and forcing ingrown hairs.

You might want to let the hairs grow a bit so you can map out your pattern better. Then go back to the close shave.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Certain german eshop and their customer service.

I asked if I can have the package sent to a german post office to avoid inernatiol fees (their delivery service was DHL so I wasn't sure).
Their answer was that if I want to order to Germany I can do so on their website...
So I asked again and asked if just filling in the post office's address as delivery address is sufficient or if I should do anything else.
Reply: "Yes, exactly, you can order to a post office."
Back to that later.

I ordered, the order confirmation email I received said the delivery service is UPS instead, I didn't pay mind to that detail.
So the day came and the order tracking thing on the eshop's website said the packaged has been delivered, I went to the post office but the package wasn't there. I didn't find out anything else as the person there only spoke German and I couldn't udnerstand him anything else.
I presented my case to the customer service yet again, only reply they managed to get to me the following day was that the tracking number I received from them appears to be UPS and asked aboutmy DHL number(the UPS number was labeled DHL number)
Anyway I went to the post again the next day and luckily the woman who was there that day could speak Czech so I found out the UPS was there and wanted to delvier the package there but they as post can't accept UPS packages(DHL would be no problem).
I presented my case to the customer service again(clearly stating that I did choose DHL as delivery service and saying the UPS wasn't even there as an option), they told me I can contact UPS and indicate them my correct address. I told them I had no correct address and as they weren't replying I asked what will happen now then.
Reply: "Unfortunately UPS weren't able to deliver the package and they are sending it back.
As soon as we receive it, we will refund the money.
Sorry for the inconveniences."
After me repeating them fro the third time that this wasn't my mistake but theirs as I am sure I chose DHL, reason for why can't they send it again was: "logistic reasons".
End of chapter one.

Now chapter two.
I got the money back and the price significantly dropped so that was pelasant and I was gonna order it again and asked how can I ensure that the package will be sent by DHL this time.
Reply: "Please make sure when ordering that you select DHL as the shipping method." ...
So after repeating myself once again I was told if I contact them 30 minutes after placing the order they can double check that everything is correct.
So when ordering again I found out their order form is glitched and it always choses UPS the first unless I go back and fill everything again just the same fort he second time when it switched to the DHL. Halleluyah. I told it to them, wonder if anyone's gonna look to that.
Recall how they told me that the way I filled in the post office delivery address was fine? Well today DHL tracking site says the package wasn't delivered and that "Recipient is unknown".
I've already contacted both the customer service again and DHL with the apparently proper "postfiliale" address of the post office, hopefully this can be solved properly this time(I had placed the first order 7th this month btw)...

Also could anyone familiar with this here please tell me what is a Postnummer? I thought it was the same as PLZ but the postfiliale address on official post website lists them separately, I've already asked about that both the eshop and DHL customer service, but you know...

Well I am neither German or Czeck but "Postnummer" is probably the same in German as it is in Danish. It's what they in English would call zip code or area number or "Post Number". Like a city or county will have a Postnummer. A bigger city might have multiple postnumre. Like Copenhagen probably has dozens.

That's just what I thought but that's what PLZ appears to be so and the on the website it looks like they're two different nubmers which confuses me

I guess I found it, postnummer apparently does mean zip code but in Sweden. In Germany it' probably just some special DHL number that's only needed for some special DHL features and as such I don't need it. Can someone confirm?

Postnummer is your DHL/Deutsche Post customer number (named confusingly nothing like it should be, for some reason). You get it if you register for their service to have packages delivered to the post office of your choice instead of your home adress and without it they may refuse to accept the package. The numbers are unique and names aren't, which is why they prefer those. If you plan on having stuff delivered to the post office again, I would recommend registering with them. It's free and will safe you further trouble. I use the service because I live on the third floor and the delivery people frequently pretend to not have been able to deliver packages but actually are too lazy to climb the stairs.

Woke up from a deep sleep unable to breathe. 😭

For over a year now, I have been (very infrequently) having these moments where my throat seizes up and I can't breathe. It's not an allergic reaction (I have had plenty of those), my throat doesn't swell, it just tenses up and stops working. I can't draw breath in or out. Usually it lasts less then 5 seconds and I have always been awake when it does.

Today, I was dreaming deeply when suddenly I woke unable to draw breath. I stumbled to the bedroom door and banged the door to get Matador's attention. This time however, it lasted a lot longer. I actually got to the black vision and almost passing out stage before the muscle relaxed and I could breathe.

As someone with bad asthma and a multitude of allergies that make me stop breathing, adding these weird arse esophageal spasms to the mix just feels like overkill. I mean, my background anxiety is already through the roof due to the expectation that I am going to suffocate at any given moment, did the Universe really need to add to that?

Seems trivial, but razor burn.

No matter how sharp my razor is (Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5), how well I lather my face with foam (Gillette Sensitive) or whether I shave in a hot shower or use a warm towel to softer the hairs, I always end up with really bad razor burn, or in some cases I end up with some ingrown hairs on my chin and neck.

Anyone else have this issue or is my face just crap? I'm debating changing to a safety razor, but don't want to fork out unless I know it will help, so anyone who uses one feedback would be great.

Tried shaving with conditioner in a hot shower instead of shaving cream?

I'll never shave another way.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Ok if you are sure this is not astham or a respiratory tract allergy (I have the latter one, have often woken up unable to breathe, thrust my head out of a window and everything) then could this be some sleeping disorder?

It' very unlikely since this is the first time it has occured whilst I was asleep.

It's not just difficulty breathing like with asthma or swelling like with a reaction. It's like my throat temporarily ceases to exist. It's not like I try to draw breath and can't, I can't even *try* to draw breath. It's a very particular and difficult feeling to describe. It's like the muscles all tighten/contract and refuse to loosen. Like when you pause mid-gulp/mid-swallow.

I have a nerve conduction test in a week and a half to see if it's a nervous issue. It only started after I had to have emergency facial surgery after a wisdom tooth extraction went bad.

Ah nerve issues were something I considered and that operation could have an effect - maybe there was a minor botch no one noticed?

Something unknown in diet maybe. I've never been allergic to any food till BP spill in Gulf and since maybe 1/10 I eat shrimp my throat will tighten up.

It's not an allergic response though. I have had soooo many of those that I can definitely say they're different. Plus I hadn't had anything to eat for 12 hours prior and while slow acting reactions happen mine tend to be more along the lines of immediate mouth fuzziness followed closely by throat swelling etc. In fact, the reactions are getting more immediate and more severe each time I happen to have one now. Plus I keep picking up new ones every 3 to 6 months. Ugh.

You should be careful with shrimp. It's one of those ones that can go from a very mild reaction ie fuzzy tongue to a very severe reaction ie death without warning.

I can't understand why your bosses/job/workplace force you to use this specific shop ... These people sound like they need to go bankrupt within a week.

In continuation of my student-y complaints, nothing beats waking up at 3 AM to do auto-segmental analysis and then procrastinating on ME despite the fact that nothing is happening.

Nobody's forcing me. I am trying to get my self-imployment/freelanced thing going (I work only part time to be able to pay rent, and spend the other half of the week on freelancing). Consequently, the money I have on having my own products printed is limited and I go with the cheapest printer's shop. However, I've been ordering from them for over two years now, and also, additionally, my regular work place orders stuff there as well, and I've never had problems before. In fact, I've even recommended them when customers asked for a reasonably priced printer's shop. I have no idea what kind of intern they've put to the task these days.

Now, they've promised to reprint my poster series by tomorrow, but I'm only going to believe that when I have laid my eyes on the finished product *sigh*

More flat purchase delays. The seller's solicitors honestly seem to become more incompetent by the second.

No news on whether or not I'll get my ordered prints tomorrow... I'm not even angry anymore. I have a booth at the con and nothing to sell. So much for battling depression and getting a hang on life.

Oh, and the guy who has the booth beside hours is a total dick. You see, he planned his to the last millimetre and thus it's okay to built it such that we cannot leave ours anymore once the table's in place unless we fancy climbing over it.

Fun times all around.

The entire things sounds horrible Puck. When it rains it pours doesn't it?

I'd go leave a bunch of horrible reviews on all online pages for the printing shop.

Dislocated my elbow. Just got home, and gotta go back to fracture clinic in about 1.5 h to get the post-fixation verdict.

Typing left-handed really sucks, lol

first time I ever ha a dislocation- unpleasant.

Also, first time I was ever sedated. Do not recommmend. All i recall is stream of consciousness babbling, with me first feeling lucid as they were putting the cast on.

My mom is saying I was screaming in pain.

I Absolutely HATE not being in control of what I do. worst feeling in the world for me. In all the years of my student life, I have never had a night out where I didn't remember everything.

Anyhow, i'm basically venting right now. Oh, and my team was winning 2:1 when I got injured, game ended 4:4. And I likely left one of my runners on the field (meaning its prolly gone forever)(

Not to mention how my mom must feel....

That's really awful. Did they give you a guarantee of the date? Can you get your money back?

As for the booth douche - talk to the con workers. That doesn't seem fair. Surely you're not allowed to box others in. Might even be a safety issue or something.

I hope things turn around for you soon!

Damn, Ment. Ouch. Hope you recover quickly!
