Hope she is doing better QT?
Thanks man, she is. The nurse has come once so far to change the packing in the wound (and she's on pain meds for it), and all the red swelling and the red/purple from the infection has gone away now. She's got another few weeks for it to heal all the way, but she's managing it well. I am on the mend from my cold now so I'm able to help more. I have to wash her hair as she is not allowed to have a shower, which we did last night for the first time and both of us were giggling about it (My hair is short, but hers is long so I was only putting in as much soap as I use normally, and it wasn't nearly enough), so her spirits are higher than they might be. Our Daughter has been a blessing, not just for cheering us up, but with the fact that she's started to sleep more often and allowed both of us to get more sleep. It's like she knows her mom is going through something and is obliging her as a result.
My wife got mastitis after about three weeks of breastfeeding our daughter. She'd started using one of those pumps that are supposed to help you feed them using bottles during times you're sleeping, as well letting off the pressure when they're not feeding. But she got really bad mastitis, couldn't carry on, so we switched to formula.
So while on one side she was feeling all guilty for not being able to continue.. we both got our best/first sleep in ages! That stuff fills them up properly in one go.
Hope mrs QT continues to get better, and you get some rest.
