@HD I guess I just really hate the whole double-standard when it comes to 'rights' - seems if they are for women or a minority group then they are important, but when it comes to men they aren't considered or are outright dismissed.

Amen.

The only reason why womens rights are an issue is because men still occupy the overwhelming majority of the positions of power and influence and have been conclusively demonstrated to abuse that position when left unchecked.

The same goes for any dominant racial group, nationality, sexuality (hetro) etc. It's not rocket science people, you don't need your specific rights protecting (beyond those of all basic humans) if you are a white, middle class hetro guy in any of Europe or the Anglasised world. You already hold all the cards.

How did that tequila make it into my glass? Admittedly it is the only alcohol left in the house and it is an emergency but I think we can all agree I will be regretting this loudly (in the forum sense) from my desk tomorrow morning!

Well, I've been looking up what's wrong with my eye, and am now officially freaked the fuck out. I might lose my vision, and possibly my entire eye. 10% chance of it happening to the other eye.

PLus, the fact that it is happening in someone my age means there is probably some deeper root cause, like high blood pressure or cholesterol or diabetes, plus smoking.

Awesome. I've eaten and smoked so much I'm going blind.

Holy shit Ray, that's fucked up. You just can't seem to catch a brake can you mate?

Can any thing be done to fix it?

From the looks of it, no. Granted, this is info I'm finding myself on the trusty interwebs. I have an appointment tomorrow with the actual doctor, so hopefully I'm going to find out I'm misunderstanding something.

Thanks. I appreciate that. I don't know why I started looking this stuff up at one in the morning. Don't know how well I'll be sleeping tonight.

Worst case scenario, you'll become a pirate.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

RLY - 2 things.

1) I am pretty sure if they catch it early they can at least attempt to fix it. Wait for the doctor before you freak out.
2) If you do lose the eye, you are then 'partially disabled' and can help meet quotas set for government employment (like schools), and so will most certainly get a job for the next year!

It has transpired that I just sent half of my bosses ongoing experiment for incineration. He isn't very happy. He was keeping his stuff that is apparently not for incineration in an incineration bag on the floor next to where we keep the waste for incineration!

That contract I need renewing in a few months is looking less likely!!!

I got an email from the ex of the girl I am seeing at the moment calling me a whole selection of lovely things and saying he hopes we both burn in hell. Lovely chap, evidently.
