OK, so at work:
getting additional project piled on top of me, making planned work undoable. I'll have to stay longer today I think to make deadlines.
not feeling respected for the work I do by people who have no business feeling superior
generally, the most stressful week I've had this year. Plenty of conlfict for everybody!
On top of that:
my finances aren't doing very well, I'm hovering steadily a small bit below zero at the end of each month
I'm sliding back into smoking, more each day
And a cherry on top:
Girlfriend's peroid is a week late.
Hooray.

Wrote some applications for new jobs, one of which looks like something I might really want to do. Why it's messing with my groove? I'd rather not have to, and the feeling of having to wait for some kind of answer. I AM qualified, but it'd be a two-hour commute one-way and unless they pay enough for moving to make sense, it might be a problem. On the other hand, I may not even hear back from them at all *sigh*

Don't worry, lots of people are in that position too, and it's only been three days, that's not long at all. If your uni has hobby groups those tend to be good for meeting people

yeah couldn't really get into freshers cause muslim don't drink and stuff so couldn't mix properly initally. but I'm already drowning in work.... medicine may just kill me haha

Don't give up hope too soon.
Cats can survive without food for a while, provided they do have access to water. Normally, they get most of their fluids from the food they're eating, but if necessary, they will drink it. I don't know where you live and what your climate is like, but in most circumstances they will be able to at least find a bit of water. If so, they can survive without food for while (in most cases approximately two weeks). Lack of access to water (either in pure form or in food) is more problematic, as organ failure can occur after just a couple of days.
If possible, I would leave some water outside of the house just in case the cat returns. You might also leave some food out, but that depends on the local wildlife.
Another remark, cats usually seclude or isolate themselves when they are sick/weak or "sense" they are going to die. So, it might be possible the cat is hiding in a secluding place in the house, or sneaked out, because the cat felt sick and weak. One of my parents cats sneaked out of the house when it was dying of heart failure, something it had never done before. So, it might be worthwhile to check hiding spots in the house.
