I had a friend who just assumed they sprained their ankle, it didn't improve, ages later went to the doctor and found out that they need surgery which would have been avoided had they not continued walking on it and sort medical attention sooner. So...you know.

Tinder is a godsend for people in my situation, but sometimes it goes spectacularly wrong. Like when the profile and reality has a rather substantial weight discrepancy.

So now I'm listening to jazz and drinking whisky by myself. Not the exact saturday I had imagined, but I guess it isn't too shabby all the same.

I signed up for ot...and worked 20 OT/week at my salary gig.

my best friend after 3 weeks..told me behaviors were strange. he said this dindnt seem healthy.

im off my rockers...of course im stressed so Fing naturally I meet a cool girl. shes amazing.

another 60 hr week, wish me luck.

Well, fuck. Thanks for randomly informing me of some perceived morbid anniversary that isn't for another three weeks as though it's something I wanted to know. Seriously, who the fuck texts shit like that? Why yes, please do remind me of my mother's death for NO REASON.

Weekend was a complete and total cluster**** from day one.

Wife got a speeding ticket Saturday, found out our internet is NOT unlimited and we've been going over for months and just paying, wife's mother recovering from surgery and the pain killers make her super loopy causing everyone in the family to have to second guess everything she tells them, including Doctors, sister-in-law suffered a broken wrist falling down the stairs and we we in Emerg with her till nearly midnight last night getting her X-rayed and cast-ed. No sleep. Finally ate dinner at 11:45PM last night, which has played hell with my insides.

That one got to me. He was the voice of Australian Cricket for me (I grew up hearing his voice on the BBC's cricket coverage). And one of the great cricketers in his own right. Mum is going in for hip replacement surgery tomorrow. She held off telling me about until it was too late for me to get leave to be there with her. "Didn't want to be a burden" or some crap. Doesn't want me visiting her in hospital during the first week of convalescence either because she's afraid she'll be whacked out of her brain on painkillers and "doesn't want me to see her like that".

Luckily after being discharged she is staying for the next few weeks with her sister who lives virtually around the corner from the hospital.

I know this sort of shit is routine these days, and by all accounts the hospital and her doctor are well-regarded, but she's 72 and she's my Mum and I'm worried.

Also, work is being a complete turd these days.
