The grass is now green, growing, and needing a cut. I love golden/tan Winter lawns/wheat fields. So pretty then. My drainage ditch needs flamethrown also.

What happened to the fire ants?

My mom doesn't trust me to know what I'm doing for my uni project. Eeeeh, seriously? It's MY project. My prof trusts me to know what I'm doing enough that I don't need superwising. So why on earth does my dearest mom think she needs to nag me about it every single day? Yes, I'm running late. I also possibly had a serious bout of depression last year and almost killed myself. Can I tell her about it? Nope. And that tells buckets about our relationship. I lose all hope of doing anything useful with my life when I just see the woman. Which is every day. Can't she please stay out of my business for at least the next week or so? I mean, preferably without treathening me with killing herself should I not finish uni next month? And also without sticking her nose into my work and then throwing tantrums when I say nothing (the only way NOT to have to deal with even bigger tantrums) :D

Ugh. One weak. Leave me alone for one freaking week.

Writing my main character is absolutely EXHAUSTING. I suppose that's the problem with reprehensible villain protagonists...

Can't believe it - we're stopped over in Seoul and get an email from our London accommodation (booked via airbnb), they're canceling our booking literally the day before we arrive. Looking for alternatives now :-(

Messing with my groove: So many many things......

Doing the work of 3-4 people and then getting called out for "not working hard"

A colleague of mine was doing a project the basic outline of which I was pretty familiar with. So when asked for advice I emphasised a few things which must be done. The colleague in question apparently ignored me, crashed and burned, and is now trying to blame me.

Getting my kneejoints pounded on by iron bars and plates for an hour. No not torture - public transport.

Reaching home after a brutish day only to be faced with another plethora of stuff to do.

Getting a totally random cut on the bottom of my foot which makes it impossible to work.

Knowing none of this stuff will go away and will still be there tomorrow morning

My girlfriend is my shoulder to cry on, but she is neck deep in her own problems so no comfort to be expected.

It's true. Every day I wander through Sheffield city centre I wonder at the pointless, venal banality of every one of these soulless vessels about me.

Moving out of Sheffield doesn't help this feeling. Leeds (where I work) is a reminder that the vast majority of people are totally vapid.

This is why we moved out to the countryside in the middle of nowhere!

Spilled coffee on my laptop and mouse and generally my desk. Now I can't tell if scrolling had been lagging before that already or if that's a new development.. Meh.

Also, potentially even more groove messing is that I will be done with my uni project this weekend but the print shop I had contacted about getting it printed on short notice are apparently out of the paper I had asked about. Eeeh, what? Also, they had forgotten to mention that the time would not be enough to coat the cover in whatever they coat it in to protect it. Yeah, great. Wonderful. Oh well, at least they're still willing to print it, right? ;)

Depending on how much you want to spend, you could try STAY CITY LONDON, it's full apartment style accommodations. We stayed at one in Dublin and it was great. It's really like an air BNB rental, they have everything. The price is usually not exorbitant, and it's PROBABLY going to be cheaper than a hotel.

Hope you sort it out!

Mostly groove messing. But slightly not.

Found some roadkill this morning on my walk to work, which in itself isnt uncommon as i live in a fairly rural area and we have a population of Roe Deer, foxes and all other woodland creatures. What was uncommon was taht the animal i saw was unlike anything i have seen. I reported it to our ecologist (i work on a construction site) and informed her of my find and stated teh animal i thought it was (a Pine Marten (very rare in UK)). It turns out i was right teh sadly deceased animal is in fact a European Pine Marten which has a population of approx. 3,300 in teh whole of teh UK and most of this population is in the Highlands of Scotland.

The fact that this creature met its fate after an incident with a car has messed with my groove.

Although it sucks finding it, this find has allowed the conservation group we deal with to re-evaluate the population spread of the Pine Marten and this could point to a higher population which is making its was through to counties that it has been extinct from for hundreds of years.
