On the plus side, we have an offer on the house after only a week on the market.
Groove is being messed now because trying to find a new house which ticks all the boxes is a total pain in the ass.
Great house, big rooms, fireplace, nice garden, lots of storage, huge kitchen... check. Dubious 'shared' track/driveway, deep ditch by field uncomfortably close to front of house, and about 3 miles too far out in the sticks... check.
All the ones we've looked at in good locations for work and schools are shit, or on big estates, or need loads of work. Or all three. All the nice houses that have lots of land and need little work are in the wrong school catchment area or some such, according to mrs T anyway. I've tried to point out that school doesn't last forever, but hey.
So up to my neck in house hunting shit.

Some dizzy mare ran me off the road in the snow so I ended up with one wheel in a ditch, and she just buggered off! Luckily a good samaritan came by 30 seconds later and helped me get the car out, but I'm still bloody furious!

Was my Grandfather's funeral today.
Due to people's inability to deal with 2 inches of snow, the whole train system shuts down with me en route. And so I missed my Grandfather's funeral.
Apoplectic is the word.
I actually snarled at someone at Salisbury train station (where I got stuck). Not me, and was the kick I needed to make sure I didn't take it out on other people. I apologised but afterwards and when I got back to London people just looked at my face and got the hell out of the way.
Bastard snow & bloody Britain's inability to handle a flake of snow.

My battery died. It's been weak lately but I thought it was probably the cold, though in retrospect that doesn't seem to be the issue. What a load of nonsense.

Contracted bronchitis a week ago. Finished my antibiotics yesterday, but I still feel pretty weak physically, and I shouldn't drink for a while either. Bummer.
Also, no word from potential employer for quite a while, and that's the final stage of recruitment. Dammit. Monday is the last day I give them for contact.

Just finished watching Breaking Bad. No new episodes until July. This is going to be a long wait, and I didn't even start watching the show until a week and a half ago. I can't imagine how the people who have been with it for years feel.
