My phone appears to have a faulty sim card or some such, as it says SOS ONLY at all times now. Thankfully, the wi-fi at home lets it work, but I still can't receive calls/texts. Rrrrk.

Isn't your sim card slightly out of the socket? Had the same thing with my dads phone a while ago, it was barely noticeable.

It can be either. My SIM did this on and off for a while, then finally it just got stuck on the SOS only mode (rebooting/replacing the SIM in the slot no longer fixed it) and I had to get a replacement SIM. It pays to check that the SIM is actually faulty before rushing off to do that, though (although I'm pretty sure they replaced mine for free, so meh).

My 3.5 year old daughter tumbled down a couple stairs, broke two bones in her wrist, and will be wearing a cast for Christmas.

That's really sucky - I hope she's okay. Kids tend to adjust and heal quickly so hopefully the cast won't bother her too much.

First world problems: I got an IPad mini for Christmas instead of the Asus I wanted. This is why I don't want stuff for Christmas. I'm an Android man, but there's just no way I'm gonna act ungrateful for an IPad. Oh, woe is me!

I fucking hate Apple! One of the reasons I wanted a 7" pad was to have a convenient tool to read articles I have on .pdf. I figured, it's easy with my android phone to just load all the files onto it, but it's a bit too small to read lengthy texts on. Hey, those 7" pads are perfect for reading texts! Cue my dad riding in on an apple eating reindeer from Santa. Except apple gadgets are fucking murder to operate. How do you load .pdf's onto an Ipad? Why should that be so fucking hard? I don't have internet at home, so that rules out dropbox. What I really want to do is to trade it in for a Nexus 7, but seeing as they probably bought it at an Apple vendor, that'd be a bit hard. And ungrateful.

I got sick midway through Christmas Day, and have been ever since...flu or cold I'm not totally sure. It just sucks BIGTIME...Boxing Day was a wash, and I skipped work yesterday...feeling a TAD better today...at least enough to go to work, but since I'm not all the way better I don't get to go to Teppanyaki dinner tonight with Mrs. QT and her Fam.

Other half has some sort of shitting and puking bug. It's 2.30am and I don't know what's worse; cleaning out the sick bowl or the terror that I'll be next. And we're visiting his family for Christmas and are due to leave tomorrow. Looks like at least another day!
