I am thwarted at every turn this week. No matter what I do, something goes wrong. No matter how inspirational my backup plan is, it is impossible to implement. The whole week is a fucking write off, I would have accomplished more asleep! FUCK.

Sounds like my job, which is just a random collection of Murphy's Law moments separated by regular stupidity. No matter how well I design things, the higher-ups fuck it up.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

So apparently, i'm not very smart. I know that comes as a real shocker.

The reason i'm not so smart is at the apartment i've been working on theirs about a 2x2 hole in the floor from where i tore out some plumbing. And today i was putting up a wall next to it and apparently forgot it was there. Stepped right into the damn thing. Tore all the skin off my elbow and left a bruise the size of a grapefruit on my hip. And, it hurts.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

I was doing pretty well rolling today and then it comes to the last grapple, which my instructor is watching intently. And I made a dumb, dumb, dumb mistake that led to my already gimpy foot getting hurt some more. Durn it.

At least, I get the chance to make up for it again tomorrow.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

If it helps, the adhesive to put it back on is only 2.99 at your local auto parts store. B)

It hasn't helped my commute the last 3 days. Driving in a big fuckign city during rush hour using only side view mirrors is not fun.

But, thanks for the info, SB.

They are a tricky set of symptoms to untangle. The terribly sore throat and tickly cough are giving away the cold. The snot and sneezing suggests hayfever. I'm not sure if the fever is due to the cold, the hot weather or the hangover. The stomach pains may be another thing entirely. All I know is it doesn't feel good. At all B) Now, make me a cup of tea!

Why must the joy of new shoes always be ruined by the pain of blisters? Ouch! And I still have a cold and I drank too much fizzy wine and ate too much cake and now I feel a bit sick. Poor me :) The best things in life are always ruined by the consequences.
