That's quite a theory you've got there.
I seem to recall though, someone noticing an armor like the one that adresses the monkey, that isn't animated... I'm not sure that the armor that talks isn't a special guardian, a powerfull soul that lives in the armor.

There's two guardians of the Deadhouse, the one we see pick up Kalam in BH and Temper.
I thought that was Temper?
Gothos isn't the guradian of the deadhouse. From what I remember, he in fact has nothing to do with the Deadhouse specifically. He lived in Tremorlor (where Icarium tried to rescue him from, and all that).

Yes, but he met Fiddler and Apsalar in the Deadhouse. So one can assume he moves around a bit

The Azath is a good place to live if you want to move around

That's a question that's almost impossible to answer without spoilers. Urm... try searching for topics, there are plenty out there:)

I've read all the SE books up to date (RG), I just can't seem to remember where he came back up...unless you're talking about sometime in the future of the series then I don't want to hear about it...
BTW, when to expect Toll the Hounds? Amazon has the release at September but I'm assuming that's the US release sicne they still have RG at May.

Just a note of caution. If anyone has an old, beat-up copy of NOK and is
considering replacing it - don't. The prices for this book are outrageous. I tried to replace mine via Amazan, Canada, Uke and Usa; Ebay, Yahoo, Tor and
Barnes and Nobles. The prices asked are insane. Worst was Barnes and Nobles
who had only one used copy, asking price $199.44. Didn't buy it
What the hell is with this book? Is it a collectible?

Only so many copies were made originally. I haven't had that problem though, I bought my copy in a store a couple of weeks ago for around 15 pounds.

Aye, the original editions were limited, and entirely sold out, so you'd expect them to be fairly expensive, but the mass-released edition shouldn't be that expensive, certainly. Try replacing it by going into like... a real shop - they might have copies in stock if you're lucky. There's an MMPB being released in May though - you could wait for that.
Or, of course, get one of PSpublishings repeat print-run. It's not signed, but it's only ?15. http://store.pspublishing.co.uk/acatalog/n..._knives_pb.html

Consider yourselves lucky that you can actually go to a store and FIND a new SE or Esslemont book, Over here in the states I have to import the damn things and it's usually outrageously expensive... I think I paid $42 for NoK.

I waited patiently and got my copy for about ?15 too, but Im trying not to read it too often to preserve it's condition, as most of my other MBotF books are now battered after many re-reads and trips to distant places, and I may have to replace them, despite my emotional attatchment to my originals.
Plus I want to get SE to sign my copy of NoK, just as an ironically strange twist.
