You are correct in that he cannot ascend, therefore either of the following is true:

Karsa won't be killing the tyrant
or
Kallor isn't the tyrant.

Either are equally likely, IMO.

Nothing to say that he wasn't the Tyrant of Darujhistan before the curses is there?

If Kallor was the Tyrant before being cursed, then the Tyrant was not a god, since the curse placed on Kallor prevented him from ascending. One cannot ascend if they are already a god. Therefore, Karsa will not being killing the Tyrant if the Tyrant is Kallor.

My theory is that Karsa kills Osserc.

Well, with the effective return of Draconus, K'rul (Keruli), and Nightchill (Silverfox), would it be possible for Kallor's curse to be lifted?

Personally, I think Karsa will be hammering on Skinner though. Don't forget the Seguleh and the T'orrud Kabal are supposed to be servants of the Tyrant.

1. My memory is sketchy, but I thought Baruk accepts Rake's offer to help because himself, Derudan and Vorcan wouldn't be enough to stop the Tyrant's return
2. Rake eventually sends Spinnock to delay Kallor
3. Plus I vaguely recall in MOI that Rake makes some vow to always oppose Kallor, so while he's busy in saving the world, he sends Spinnock who has always stood in Rake's stead

I think Kallor is too obvious a candidate.
Also remember that there were multiple Tyrant Kings and that the last one was female

The first part is for Karsa to stay in Daru to fulfil a Vow...And with his many Vows to break chains, it could very well be Kallor aiming for the throne in Daru, who ends up in Karsa's path

And the second part of Pciker's message is that Karsa is needed to kill a god, not necessarily a god based in Daru. But, to kill a god at certain pont in near future.

Thats very true, muco, and seems plausible the way you lay it out. Which leaves us still wondering which god will fall to Karsa's blade, I think CG is still a prime candidate for the Karsa "Witness" program.

I was under the impression that anyone who sits on the tyrant's throne was the tyrant, and that they've had a couple. There were also a couple of wierd theories floating around that the tyrant throne grants control over the segulah armies. We've seen before that sitting on magical thrones is the first step to ascension (kellanved in particular). So whoever the tyrant is, is most likely the god. Unless the fact that ICE is dealing with Karsa after this is just some huge bluff to throw us off track Who might claim the throne is anyone's guess though.

I think it's cool that noone is wondering whether or not Karsas could actually kill a god, only which Gos it is going to be. I doubt it will be Krul. I'm hoping it will be someone I dont like who is totally unexpected.. Anyone see Queen of Dreams arriving in Darujistan with Dunsparrow & Leoman in tow?

Karsa wouldnt stand a chance against K'rul, imo.
Unless you think a magic resistant, skilled with the sword, huge fighter, could take on the chaos born, warren creating, soletaken eleint that is K'rul.

Karsas resistant to magic, but not that resistant. A mage traps him. He would get magic-pwned by the likes of Rake, K'rul, Draconus etc.

There are a few interesing options, which it could be possible he could kill. Unless he isnt working alone necessarily, which im not gonna bother discussing, because then the possibilites are almost endless. Anyway:

Dessembrae
Queen of Dreams
Trake
Fener
Mael(though again, I doubt he could)

Others are possible.

When is this? I can't remember any enmity between Hood and Fener.

Back to Karsa, When does he promise to kill a God? I can't remember that either...
I do have some vague recollection of Karsa vowing to destroy the Unbound, but they are not gods. Karsa might have thought so at the time when he made the vow but does that count?

Does the curse actually give Kallor his power/fighting ability? It seems like the curse compels him to seek ascendency, even though he can never achieve it - and this means he has no choice about fighting those who get in his way. He seems regretful about WJ, like it wasn't in his control - as WJ got in his way, he had to fight him. same with Spinnock. in both encounters his sword seems to be working a bit like Rhulads; almost by itself.

Just wondered what would happen if the curse was lifted; if it happened just before a fight, and Kallor didn't know, he might be in for a big surprise...

His fighting skill is derived from a hundred thousand years of wandering the earth, he's very experienced.
Its also possible his sword has been blessed by the CG too.
