My oldest boy is loving Um Bongo, probably as much as I did.
The circle of life FTW!!!

Though he's insistent they drink it in Whitely Bay not the Congo.

While I prefer Hoppipolla, the cover/remix/backwards version that Chicane did was also good.

@Worrywort - My bad. In my book, ME stands for only one thing - Mass Effect. :p

What's making me happy is Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus.

Yep, it's Boondock Saints time! XD

Official abbreviation for Malazan Empire on another site I frequent is now "MzE" to avoid confusion. :p

If you just need a little something to make your day, check out today's xkcd comic. It's the most awesomest thing ever.

I got my Amanda Palmer Kickstarter Backer package last night! There were squee's. It came with a foldout 3D picture thank you card which was pretty darn cool.

Finished The Road this morning. I really enjoyed it, harrowing as it was.
I hugged the life out of my 2 boys after putting it down.
How lucky I am.

It's the first book I've read in months. Seems to have ended the drought though. Up for something else now.....

Try The Road 2: The Great Goblin Caper. Totally different feel, but if you wanna find out what happens to Boy in his next adventure...

Had an amazing day at work today. It was an important night, because we have a new batch of employees starting after their training this weekend, and it was crucial that we get the last batch properly trained so that they are able to get on with the job, while we (the supervisors) are gonna be preoccupied with working with new people from scratch.

Training went well, the trainees were receptive to advice and showed huge improvements, while the rest of the team also did a solid job. The night's results were good, and I'm left feeling confident about the people we've just finished training.

Since what attracts me in my job is the potential to be a problem solver, figuring out where to put the right people to get the necessary result, and what to do to improve a person's performance, seeing everything click, and knowing that my fellow supervisors are working on the same wavelength to the same goal gives me great pleasure.

This is one of those days when I love my job.
