Just got back from a 'nucks preseason game. Was a blast, even though we had no chance of winning.

I got a new job and it could not be more Canadian if I tried. I am now a zamboni driver. I take care of the curling and hockey rinks at a local arena. Nifty.

I've been sending out emails left and right trying to gather som decent academic references fro my Master's programme application. And today I received an email from one of the professors at MTU where I was enrolled 2006/2007.

Totally made my evening:

Dear S,

Hvordan stor Det til?

You're quite unforgettable, I assure you -- reading Beowulf aloud coming from a native language much closer to Old English than Modern English is, giving really intelligent answers to any question I put to you -- those are things any teacher remembers. I retired the year after you were at MTU, and I've forgotten a lot in four years since, so there may be other good things you did which you should remind me of (such as the positive comments on your papers I hope I had time to write). It's not boasting to release information they need to the people who are going to evaluate you.

You're brave to attempt to make a living in a field other then the one you came to MTU for (please remind me what it was). I hope Norway is not struggling so badly under the financial disaster caused by unethical USA speculators that they forget (as the UK seems to have) that good writing has a lot to do with intelligence and employability.

I'll gladly answer questions about you. Best of luck getting in!

Adjø,

B

First off, SWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNY! Deserving winner ;)

Finally pulled off my girlfriend's surprise birthday party. It was laughably anti-climactic, but it was still a good night, as everyone was wearing costumes. I myself went as Captain Hammer, and Lex draped herself in some leopard-print short skirt ensemble. Yeah. So that was fun ;)

And when everyone but two had left, we slept together. Not sex, my perverted friends, just sleeping side by side. And apart from a few hair-in-the-face instances, it was mighty fine. ;)

Now off to breakfast for Mother's birthday. I'll try and stay awake.
Suck it Errant!

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Professor somehow managed to squeeze a BSG video into lecture as relevant material.

Wait, we can buy posters of your stuff Grim?

So my groove-messed-with issue about the gf and her time have been solved. As usual she read my mind and apologized for not being around enough recently, and has said we need to set aside more time for one another. Tis a good resolution. I feel better.

Of course! I can get A3-posters printed up for NOK24 or something, which is a lot cheaper than going through DeviantArt....but they do have some fucking nice and big prints. When it comes to art, Bigger IS better ;)

Glad to hear about you and your gf ;)
