I went to the Sonisphere festival on 27th in Istanbul and saw the BIG 4 (Metallica-Megadeth-Slayer-Anthrax)....that's making me extra happy. Plus I spent a week in Istanbul which is a beautiful city, and now I'm in Paris. plus my Uni results came it they were much better than I expected...so all in all a great beginning to this summer...

Say what you want about metallica, these guys know how to kick-ass live...

Sweet man! I'm going to Sonisphere UK which doesn't have the big four unfortunately, but should still be good!

Ha, did it right next to the Town statue. In a park I take care of.

Awesome.

Just found out that with annual leave following on from paternity leave, I now have 4 weeks off work!

Good stuff, considering how little sleep I'm getting right now.

Little one and her mum doing fine; thanks for all the good wishes people Posted Image

Well I hope you manage to catch up on some sleep.

Since you've now got a bit of time off, don't forget to take plenty of pics as babies are often incredibly photogenic, especially when they're so small (since I know from the photography forum that you've got a relatively new DSLR).

all the best

Thanks Mez... you're dead right about the pics, I've taken so many already! Having a lot of fun with the monochrome ones at the mo.

Still happy right now, for all the same reasons!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

The weekend ahead is looking likely to be a very good one, after I have moved. Marvellous.

Yay I have a full time job again now if only the loan comes through I can keep my car, pay my rent and stop the utilities from being cut off.
Of course I don't get my first pay for a week and I currently have $4 to my name but things are trending up.

My daughter was born yesterday morning, at 5.30 am. It was long night..!

I'd just got home from a 10 hour shift on Wednesday, and didn't have much time before we were off back to the hospital at 10.30.
My wife's water broke in the car, which I thought was pretty funny, mainly because it wasn't my car. Didn't get home til last night - no sleep for two days, and a new baby that wants
food, like now.

The cats are NOT impressed.

We are though, she's lovely, 6lb 2 with lots of hair. So proud of my wife - how she got the strength for that final bit after so many hours I don't know. Never seen anything so
impressive.

Very happy right now.

Brilliant, enjoy all of your time together :p my daughter is 8 weeks old today, best times ever.

Very short night by most standards (home by midnight!), but I had a brilliant Thursday night. Started off with beers and a quarter of footy and progressed to seeing Calling All Cars and The Butterfly Effect live, who were both phenomenal (my ears are still ringing). Did wrench my shoulder in the mosh (can't lift left arm over 45 degrees) but hey, thems the breaks. After that it got a bit boring, until we saw a hilarious Taylor-Lautner-is-gay cutout, and had the funniest convo with a cabbie. It's amazing how much stuff you can talk about in half an hour. He schooled us on the finer points of heavy metal, tried to teach us some Hindi and spent ten minutes telling us why The Shawshank Redemption is the best movie ever made. Coolest. Cabbie. Ever.

This has been probably one of the best Canada Day weekends I can recall. Spent the actual holiday at my buddy's place on a lake; we went kayaking, tubing, had a bonfire with barbecue, and lit off our own fireworks with the neighbour's little'uns watching (I'm not one for kids but they were pretty adorable). Next day marked a recovery period in the country. Having lived in the city for the last few years I almost forgot how awesome stargazing can be minus light pollution. And to top off the awesomeness I spent today canoeing and will be partying for another friend's birthday all night. :(
And so the First denied their Mother,
in their fury, and so were cast out,
doomed children of Mother Dark.

I love it!

Finally arranged a get-together with the girl I like. It's been too long. :(

In other news, eating peanut butter right out of the jar is making me happy... and fat.
