Well I learnt that Drongo means idiot, and there was a bunch of questions about different aspects of Australian culture/sport/history etc. Beforehand I even learnt that Kevin Rudd was the prime minister, and it didn't even come up... :p :) TBH I can't remember most of it as I was very busy drinking an absolutely marvellous Australian Shiraz of some description...

Drongo is vernacular for idiot, true. This is because the drongo bird was reckoned to be quite dim, even by avian standards, thus the appellation for people of perceived diminished intellectual capacity.

Not really, it tends to happen here almost every summer. Intentional or not. :p

Place I've been trying to get to employ me (because the work is a strange blend of simple and varied so it's actually not very tedious for a data entry job if you're easily amused, AND they actually have hired me for temp work in the past) has vacancies again. Granted, my work history is pretty shit, but I'm better than a lot of their permanent staff already and I'm going to fucking ACE that assessment when they get that far.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Wrong thread, but I just read this in a facebook group:

can someone please give me an answer (not debate me) on why if the earth is millions/billions of years old(the amount seems to keep changing) why is this only the year 2010? Just something I've always wanted a proper explanation for.

Basically I can just point at my avatar for general reaction purposes now.

Didn't have to go straight to work from guard today. Our boss cut us away because there was no reason for us to be there, so I came straight home just in time for the rain to really start pouring down on my corrugated iron roof and went to bed. :)

Just watched "I Touch Myself" on Youtube and feel very happy... :)

Also, we got a mini-fridge. And two days ago, a new sound system. Dad being in his twilight golden years, he tends to splurge.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Space Jam. Probably the best film Disney ever produced.

I got two A's [well, A's are what would be the direct 'translation' into what most of you know :p] in two subjects this semester - two months too early :p It kind of means I can now do what I get around to do and don't need to stress myself and I still will get the A's in the end :) Woooh!

Somehow I now see you as Kelso from That 70's Show :p

Can't make any promises because it's her house not mine, but we have plenty of space if you need somewhere to crash, no problem. Also might now be able to make it to your birthday thing.
