The first real snowstorm of the season has rolled in. Getting progressively stronger as the day wears on.
It's awesome, I'm watching the snow drift in front of my window grow visibly every 10 minutes.
60 kph winds that gust to 100kph, this might manage to rival the huge storm we had two years ago that shut down the Trans-Canada between Ottawa and Québec city.
Its white out conditions everywhere.

only had 2 beers instead of 6-8 yesterday and came home at 0:40 instead of 4:00, no hangover, rested, awesome stuff! I think I might adapt this style for further socializing...

I have a few more days of work before xmas, and l found out yesterday that the mob l am working for want me back after the xmas break. I was also told yesterday that this job could move into full time territory which would be awesome.

And l just got a ticket to go to the Soundwave music festival early next year so l will finally get to see Faith No More and Anthrax live!!!!

Things are starting to look up......

It has been raining here for almost 24 hours straight. Everything has cooled down and the sound of the wind and rain makes me feel very snuggly and drowsy. Slept about 16 or so hours out of last 24 and am thinking of going back.

If only I had someone to curl up with. Ah well ... :D

I'm sure the rain will annoy me much later, but I'm going back to Brisvegas from Dec 16 - Jan 8. :D

Can do! :D

Tech rehearsals went well the show should be awesome and all my precious lighting gear worked fine. Also, the two guys I got in to operate follow spot for me did rather splendidly. Tomorrow will be great. Plus I got home at half six which is about 6 hours earlier than I have been in the last week...

The last performance of the play I was in (A Christmas Carol). Three out of four shows sold out, with a standing ovation tonight.

Happy birthday wolf!

What's making me happy you ask? First and foremost I finished my final exams feeling confident I did well on all of them. I now have 23 days off for the holidays before next term starts and a steady flow of work to help pay for everything. On top of that I put up my first christmas tree in my own apartment last night and it turned out awesome. Between the hot cider and movies like Home Alone playing in the background it made for a fun evening. Tonight promises to be no less fun with my group of friends meeting up to play Secret Santa and have a potluck with lots of drinks. :D

Just had a PhD progress report meeting, and it went as well as could be expected. No major stresses from now til the new year thank god!

I got to see some of the world's best chess players in action today. It was awesome. I was at the London Chess Classic playing in a weekend tournament, but at the same time there was a top level tournament going on. Was excited to see Kramnik and Carlsen in action, and there were some exciting games today too, particularly Nakamura-McShane.

In my own competition, I made a blunder in a winning position that cost me £100 in prize money...but it was an interesting game and I enjoyed it, and that's the main thing.
Don't look now, but I think there's something weird attached to the bottom of my posts.
