The piston/caliper on the back rear driver side brake popped off my old car on the highway (brakes were just done in June) and the brakes were super squishy.
Why is this in the happy thread? It was on en empty part of the highway, and I was safely able to get over to the soft shoulder, and then off the ramp to call CAA to come tow it to get fixed. It could have been so much worse, so I'm trying to see the silver lining.
I was also worried that it would be more expensive to fix, but since it's a smaller issue than I thought it's only about $475, so I'm counting myself lucky on that front too.
