Daughter getting her vaccine on Tuesday. I know she's not happy because "needle" but it will work to alleviate some of my concerns with her in school and so many schools in Ontario with outbreaks.

Great news! My daughter got her first one 2 weeks ago, and she didn’t have any problems.

Awesome. Yeah, my buddies kids got theirs and no issues either.

huh, I didn't get near as many Black Friday / Small Biz Saturday / Cyber Monday emails as I was expecting (nowhere near the amount I got the day after Halloween). Supply chain effect? In any event, that's got me whistling a happy tune. I am all about supporting small/local businesses though, so get out there to that weird part of your town, where all the artists and bon vivants and bohemians and... well, weirdos.... hang out (and have stores), and buy that scented candle set made with artisan local beeswax for aunt Carol.

It always feels weird when you wake up somewhere completely new. Takes a while to adjust to new surroundings.

One time when I was young my family stayed at a cabin and I got the top bunk in the kids room, and when I woke up I forgot where I was and rolled out of bed, falling head first into the wooden bed frame of a neighboring bed. It may explain some things.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Can't fall out of bed, fortunately. I bought an actual bed. Had been sleeping on my couch for quite a while and decided to splurge on a proper bed with comfortable dimensions ^_^

My cousin, who gave birth to a stillborn at 38 weeksa t the beginning of this year, got pregnant again and gave birth to a healthy baby last night. She and her husband have had a really stressful and painful year so I'm really happy for them both.

Got the retention bonus at work meaning pay this month will be doubled.

Most of the extra is going into getting this house ready for the market , but I'll have a bit left to play with.

Hey Morgoth, your country owes mine a decent Christmas tree. I went to see the Trafalgar Square one at the weekend. I had seen photos and read about people saying it was a shit tree but I figured the photos would be purposefully from a bad angle and a tree that big has to be majestic either way. Wrong! They should have left the poor thing in the ground.

I have been attempting to have a reusable live tree the last 3 years so as to be more sustainable. I bought a live tree in a pot in 2019 but forgot to water it enough in summer 2020 so it became fire wood. The 2020 purchased tree was a little more loved but not consistently so has lost its needles closest to the trunk but put on patchy extra growth in a different texture and colour. So I bought more tinsel to cover it up. Bringing it indoors today and hoping for the best. I don't think I'm having the intended environmental impact but it's making me chuckle either way.

Because of Brexit we're legally obliged to save our good trees for the EU.
