Sure it's all Tehol and Bugg now, but you'll be screeching Quick Ben and Kalam in a few years.

Congrats Tiste!
In other news, we just bought a car! The first car that I own myself, or we own but you get the idea. A Kia E-niro, and it'll be great to finally have that flexibility.

Sold my apartment with a slight profit instead of a loss. And I only have an overlap of a weekend before the new owner moves in so no double living costs either.

'researchers from DTU have now realized the complete platform for an optical quantum computer. [...]
Optical quantum computers have long been overshadowed by superconducting technologies that have been accelerated by huge development programs run at tech giants like IBM and Google. [...]
The potential of the quantum computer is enormous, and its dramatically increased processing power relative to standard transistor-based computers will enable disruptive innovation in a wide range of areas of great importance to Denmark, such as the pharmaceutical industry, optimization of the transport sector, and development of materials for carbon capture and storage.
A crucial factor in fulfilling this potential is that the quantum computer is realized on a platform that is scalable to thousands of qubits
"Theoretically, there's no difference between whether a quantum computer is based on superconducting or optical qubits. But there's a decisive practical difference. Superconducting quantum computers are limited to the number of qubits fabricated on the specific processor chip. In our system, we're constantly creating new ones and entangling them quantum mechanically with those we are performing calculations on. This means that our platform is easily scalable."
"In addition, we don't need to cool everything down in large cryostats. Instead, we can do it all at room temperature in optical fibers. The fact that the system is based on optical fibers also means that it can be connected directly to a future quantum Internet, without difficult intermediaries."'

Funny, you don't LOOK like a soccer mum ...
Can you cast your mind back to the exact moment you realised all your dreams had died and you gave up on life?
No, the OTHER time - AFTER that time you met me.
*Googles* 372000 Kroner? $US47K? WTF? Please tell me the Norwegian govt subsidy on EVs brought the price down.
Is there even somewhere to park that thing in your little country?

Th's roughly the price yes, and we have our own parking. Electric is the future, buying combustion based cars these days seems a little silly to be honest.
And I like the car, it's fast and comfortable and capable of getting us everywhere we need to go. Excellent heating too, in all seats and the steering wheel, which is rather important in Norway.

Steering wheel heating is always underrated. When I got my license I drove my parents spare Honda Civic and it was not winter friendly.

We can also heat up the car in advance with an app, which will be lovely midwinter when the temperature brushes -20 celcius at night.

Can confirm, that option is SO GOOD in winter.
