So, 10 days later, had a proper 30th birthday party for my friends.
Majority of people showed up, which was good. Everyone told me they had fun, which is great. I'm amostly sober, because I sweated out whatever I drank at least 3 times on the dance floor.
All in all, a solid night. Nothing particularly ultra-memorable, but good time with great friends. If I have so many great people around me, I must be doing something right in life.

Wait - something requiring coordination, and you're not injured? Impressive.

Man I love breakfast burritos. Do you guys love breakfast burritos?
It's the perfect remedy for a night of drinking. Everything to get one right wrapped up in a warm tortilla shell: steak, chorizo sausage, egg, potato, bacon, ham, cheese, onions, red and green bell peppers. Pared with hot black coffee and the morning's hang over is swept away and you face the rest of the day with a hop in your step and a happy whistle on your lips.

I do love a good breakfast burrito. Theres a place around here that puts a thin sliver of sausage gravy in the middle of theres.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Yah, but you married someone you've been with for years and are already in love with. Where's the adventure in that?

If it's a murder list, then yes. If it's a bucket list, then no.

One of my sister's friends contacted me out of the blue. She'd heard I'm single and wondered if I wanted to meet for a drink. It was a flattering start to a friday

Yay, congrats!
My younger brother is getting married next summer, and his fiancée asked me to be a bridesmaid even though she doesn't know me all that well; I think I've seen her maybe 5 or 6 times since she and my brother started dating, if that.
At first I thought it would be a bit weird to be a bridesmaid at my age but actually, I'm flattered. So what if I am going to be the oldest person in the wedding party, and will probably have to put up with dozens of "when will it be YOUR TURN?" questions?

She just wants to go out with you to get you to introduce her to your other friend.

It was our Harry Potter themed weekend at the bird of prey centre this weekend it went off really well, the staff had lots of fun being in character (I was Hermione!) and it seemed to go over really well with customers, particularly the kids had a ball.
…… .............surprised/happy mixture really. What are the odds on going into a Harry Potter themed event at a falconry centre and coming out with a date?
Whatever they are, this appears to be what I've managed to do!
