Do the Dutch (or anyone else) still sleep sitting up?

Some things in life are so worth splashing out on. Mattresses are right at the top of that list.

Oh I insist on a new matress when we move into a new apt or house for work.

its one thing to lie on a hotel matress or bunking at someones house short term. but moving into somewhere to live and lieing up on an old matress?

Fuck no

Randomly checking a gaming site before I go to bed, learned that around four hours ago 5 million free copies of Payday 2 became available on Steam on a first come first served basis, and I just blagged one so if you want a free game that's pretty decent go log into Steam and hit Install to add it to your library (assuming I wasn't the 5 millionth customer) and then actually install it whenever you want

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Replacing a mattress (well, whole bed really) that is over 20 years old today from our bedroom. That bastard was destroying my wife and my backs, so we ponied up the dough to grab a new one. I'm looking forward to a decent nights sleep for once.

A new mattress can make such a difference in your overall quality of life, it's incredible. I replaced my cheap, nearly 15 year old IKEA mattress roughly 4 years ago and I almost instantly noticed how much better I was sleeping, that I had fewer body aches, and etc. The only small downside was that I switched from a regular mattress to a pillow-top, so I had to buy lots of new sheets; the fitted sheets on my old sets wouldn't cover the new mattress because it was so much thicker thanks to the pillow top. Of course, since I love getting new bedding that was hardly a burden, heh.

Thanks! Yeah, slept on it last night and it was pretty great! I don't think my aches and pains from the previous mattress have fully abated yet, but I certainly felt better this morning getting up and not all creaky and stiff.

We needed to get new sheets as it turned out, so we went with Bamboo...which are...SO. Soft.

So all in all, I'm very pleased. Hopefully will continue to see improvement in sleep for both my wife and myself.

Bamboo sheets are amazing! Back when my cat was still alive and purring he used to always sleep on my bed when I had the bamboo set on; oftentimes he'd jump up there before I had even finished getting everything changed.
Now I want to sheet-shop, heh.

I've been a pescatarian for 3 1/2 years now, and I haven't cheated on my diet.

I'm sitting down with a blt right now. Bacon is amazing, and there just isn't a real substitute.

On a side note: I know my stomach is really going to regret this decision tomorrow.

I can't remember the last time I had bacon... Pork makes me sick :-(

Oh, I know this is going to send my stomach into knots. I've just decided that it's worth it to satisfy the craving. The stomach issues due to come will just reinforce why I shouldn't eat it for a few more years.

its wedding season.

now normally wedding season annoys the sweet fuck out of me as I get invited to so many that it's borderline financially crippling for me (I usually average 8/9 a year, this year is only 4 so boom jackpot year!)

But today's different, you might remember last summer my cousin had an accident and was left paralysed, at one stage doctors had told the family to expect neck down paralysis for the rest of his life.

He's getting married today, and will be wheeling himself down the aisle, granted he's not walking but it's such a step forward from where we were 10 months ago, and he has gotten minor feelings back in his legs, so the possibility of motor skills returning does exist.

It's Saturns turn to be a few points off the moon which is full tonight so it's pretty dull next to it. Not as spectacular to look at and not as close as Jupiter was but I bet it's much much much better in a telescope especially if you can catch them both in focus and unfuzzed! I'm not sure how that would work as I don't have one. I should go get one.

I missed it. :D

Good binoculars would have been better than a telescope. Scope magnification high enough to see Saturn's rings would not allow the Moon in the field of view. The one time I looked at Saturn through a telescope it was about the size of a pinhead, but the rings were easily apparent. Awesome, despite being tiny. Even the cheapest scope is far better than what Galileo could cobble together for his look-see.

Each blu-ray is the complete legacy for each monster.

For instance, Frankenstein has:
Frankenstein
Bride of Frankenstein
Son of Frankenstein
Ghost of Frankenstein
Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man
House of Frankenstein
House of Dracula
And,
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein.

Also, I am seriously in love with these mugs. :D

Going to wash and dry the one I already used then find a way to mix them up so I don't know which is which before making another hot choloate. I'm deriving way too much enjoyment from a set of mugs. XD

Yeah, if you, a person who is not mowing, are annoyed by this thing happening to someone else, it's extremely probable that she's not happy with it either.
