Cheap beer is trying its utmost to make me happy. Knowledge of Donald Trump is stymieing progress. I think I need a new good book.

I hear some guy named 'Erikson' has a pretty decent series worth reading.

So I've heard...Unfortunately I've read all his stuff, except for the Willful Child books. Maybe it's time for some re-reads.

Tomorrow is the first day of February, which means it's one day closer to spring.
Also, that January will finally be over.

We're trying to get into the habit of family days out and as neither of us grew up where we live we need to test places out to see if they are viable long term visiting places. Mr PigDog picked today and we went to this weird offshoot of London's Natural History Museum. It's in Tring and is an old Victorian private collection of stuffed animals. This Lord sent people out to poach pretty much everything and even trained zebras to pull his carriage. It was really weird. It's not quite making me happy because the stuffed chimps, gorillas and orangutans made me feel a bit peculiar but it was like going to a corpse zoo which you don't do every day. You will never see a Polar Bear so close. I don't think we'll be going back although kids seemed to really love it.....

This news: http://www.bbc.com/n...europe-38871667 We're still holding our breath, waiting for next BS stunt they'll try to pull and we'll keep asking for Dragnea to resign (so far he's tossing the sacrificial lambs but we're not going to accept just that). Still, I have hope and I'm feeling good about it.

I am indeed a constant couch sleeper. It helps greatly when traveling.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

I had a strange random dream last night. QT and his wife came to spend the week at my house while we were all on vac. After I picked them up from airport and got home I opened the door and Amp was passed out on my couch next to all his luggage. He woke up and asked what I had to eat. So I went to fridge and started making something for him. While doing so we started making plans to go out for the night and I decided to txt Ando telling him to hurry up and get his ass over so we could we finally leave for the night. He opened my front door when I set the phone down.

Then I woke up needing to piss.

Phone call there about a half hour ago.
Wasn't a phone call I was waiting for or expecting in any shape or form but it's made me inordinately happy.
Totally changes my life for the next 2/3 years if it carries through like I hope.
As such I won't be saying anything more until I get the follow up phonecall tomorrow
