Started a new job yesterday.
Wasn't the job I was initially meant to be starting BUT the one I started was a promotion which was even better. Plus I am still going to be doing my accountancy training in the new job too, so double bonus.

Got offered a job...( not in sales.. Don't think I can put up with stress ) wish me luck. Its consultative sales .. Which is easy compared to direct sales .. See what I did there??
Super crazy good gig......
Life has never been stranger than right now. I have had the most amount of time off in my life ....Which should be fun, but mainly go over all the mistakes I have made..
Im figuring out career change and just starting over at 33... Which is scary... But exciting ... Will I make the gamble

An employee of the university threatened to call the university tax lawyer to have him personally explain to me why I was wrong

I saw Eric idle and John Cleese last night. It's the closest I will ever get to seeing Monty Python live, and it was great. It's hard to say just how much those two guys influenced my comedic sensibilities, but it's a lot.

Do what? Get a car body frosty? I spent 32 winters in Minnesota. They look like ridiculously mild fall or winter scenes to me.

Welcome to freak winter in Louisiana! That was Jan 2014 and that was the 3rd time in 3 weeks it did that. That's insane for us.
I recall one winter in Minnesota when it was sub-zero F for six weeks straight. When the temp finally got up to 10 degrees F people were running around in shorts and shirtsleeves.

Currently laughing at the rage of someone I know towards Australians who are celebrating Halloween since it's 'an American holiday and has nothing to do with Australia'. (I guess he's never heard of Samhain)
This is the same non-Irish guy who celebrates St.Patrick's Day. 😂

I'm getting a new fireplace today, this one:
I have an ancient, cast iron stove, which is pretty in its way, but incredibly inefficient. Besides, I want the light from the fireplace too.
edit: this is obviously a stock photo.

There's a pipe from the back that connects to the chimney, at least that's how it'll be at my place.
