Blind Guardian finally doing a UK tour! Posted Image the country does not in fact stop at the M25!

Are they coming to Manchester? Cos I'm not the biggest fan but I've not been to a gig in ages (mainly cos I got no-one to go with and I can't be bothered on my own any more...) and I'd be well up for a Manc Malaz Metal Meet. :(

Wednesday 18th May is Manchester, tickets on sale tomorrow - although, if you're not big on them, they are reputedly doing a 2 and a half hour set! Me and the other half will be there though :)

Had to take the dog out for a proper long walk tonight since the weather didn't cooperate earlier today. Wasn't looking forward to it, since it's fucking freezing at the moment, but when we were out walking through the fileds in the dark, I got to see a big freaking Owl hunting. did a few swoops and circled around a few times before flying towards me. Really cool. Hadn't see one up that close actually hunting before.

Such are the advantages of living in the countryside, just outside the city. Best of both worlds.

Eh, it's not that I dislike them, they just aren't quite my style. I reckon a concert would be pretty fun though, they have quite a "big" sound!

Haven't puked for a week! And I feel as close to normal as I think I can hope for. Woo woo woo (although now I've got a million chores to catch up on).

Nothing special, really, just

I ate a spicy chicken thigh an hour and half ago.

A whole thigh.

Spicy.

And I haven't puked it up!!

I haven't been able to do that in six months.

Congrats! That must've been great!

So, what's next on your dinner wish list now that feasting's back on the menu?

Three months ago I was puking up water.

I'm so very, very tempted to thaw a rib eye. But I'll stick with just gumbo for tomorrow.

maybe.

My wife and I got keys to our new house yesterday. We really got to start moving in today. Pretty much the first thing we did was go to IKEA to pick up a new shelving unit for our records and stereo system. I finally have enough room to actually make them look good. I'm stupidly happy right now.

Spoiler

The next step is my bookcases, which I'm expecting to be able to have finished on monday after the movers take care off all the big and/or heavy stuff.

I've stayed down there for a week a few years back. Somewhere near Stonehenge. Lovely part of the country. Took a few drives to the south coast from there. Bournemouth and Weymouth. Keep meaning to go back
Hope you enjoy.
I love holidaying in England.

Well I'm happy right now because it's Sunday roast time. :D

Thanks! We stayed just up the road from Avebury last time, and caught the Farewell to the Sun celebrations there the night before the summer solstice (we might have booked the same week again with that in mind....) but we didn't do the coast last time, so I'm quite fancying Weymouth :D we have friends who live near Chippenham so it's a great excuse to go have a day with them as well.

Just got a call out of the blue, asking if I wanted to help out as crew on a short film being shot over the next few days. Perfect timing really, as I'm already down to shoot a music video next week, and hopefully starting a new job in a few weeks time. So, all the experience I can get now is really helpful in the long term.

Plus it's great for networking, since there is so much interaction amongst the various video people here.

The one downside is a 5:30 am start, as I am very much a night owl. Need to organise my shit right now, before bed, as I will be barely functional at that time.
