Gothos, playing the first one isn't strictly necessary, but I would recommend it just to have a feel for what a bioshock game is supposed to feel like. Some of the awesomeness of infinity comes from emotional callbacks to the first, but not narrative continuity. That probably makes not much sense.

Bioshock 2 is glorified dlc for the first in my opinion, not necessary at all but worth a run through if you just want more rapture action.

There are maybe a few characters here and there where changing their skin could be rather problematic (or doing so without changing that of the family/some of the family), but none of these were it. For instance changing Magneto to something NOT persecuted by the Nazis means changing a lot of his backstory and/or attitudes and view of the world. Or changing a character without changing the parents and the parents are important for something like inheriting powers (so the kid can't be adopted) would be dodgy, and lazy. But that sort of thing is the only reason. For many characters it's not a problem these days. Same thing as changing sexuality of some of them (again you may need to allow for some certain important relationships in their stories, but otherwise...). I like a cohesive story, and a big part of suspending disbelief is keeping the non-crazy things realistic and generally keeping things consistent, but provided you apply some effort to it story holes can usually be easily filled

I'm down 18 pounds. Still going to yoga at least four times a week at minimum, no soda in over a month. Also no energy drinks in over a month, which is an improvement from two or three energy drinks and several sodas a day. Caffeine is a hell of a drug.

A little self-plug, but I ask some indulgence as I'm quite excited!

I write a blog about my experiences of chronic illness, just because it seemed to be something I found through networking that a lot of people were too scared to do for fear of others reactions. I'm a balshy little madam so took it upon myself to do so. It's been quite cathartic for me but the thing making me so excited and happy is that it's about to break 5000 views having been going just shy of three months. With such a niche subject matter and me only posting usually once a week, I'm completely overwhelmed!
