#1 Went to Newmarket races yesterday. I've never been horse racing before but it was really good fun. I've never bet on anything before and won on my first one. I bet a whole £2 on a horse at 10-1 and then spent the rest of the day frittering away my winnings. Last of the big spenders! Anyway, that's all by the by. What made me really happy (or probably just really fucking relieved) was that Mr PigDog's childhood friend instigated the whole day out because back in October last year he put £1000 on one of the horses that was running yesterday!!!! I was in two minds whether to go because it felt a bit like facilitating someones gambling problem as he doesn't earn the kind of money to justify betting like that. Fortunately the nag came in first. It would have been reeeeeeally awkward if it hadn't.

#2 Buying a house and it's all going through and is cool and stuff. I have lived in 1 bedroom flats for the last 10 years whilst saving for a deposit to buy somewhere. The house is really cool - it's not like my dream home or anything but it is at least a home. No matter what the weather on the day we move in, I'm going to run around in the garden like an idiot fool!!!! Aaaarrrrggghhhhhhh.

Based on an article on CNN, I ordered a "Fly SUX" T-shirt.

SUX is the airport code for Sioux City, Iowa, USA. The city understandably has wanted the government to change the code for years but they refused. So instead the city has embraced it by printing and selling T-shirts, mugs, etc with "Fly SUX."

Kudos to them for making lemonade out of lemons.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Sometimes you come across articles people post on Facebook that are actually worth reading.
