After a month I finally got the damn Internet again. And me and the ole lady moved into our house and it's in full reno mode, tore out 3 walls last week. Plus, found out were having a girl. Gretchen will be here in July. Lastly, my latest house flip sold in 4 days. Money, money, money, money..........MONEEEEY.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

so I went and met up with the recent ex to talk a bit and smooth out the major fight we had yesterday. turns out we're pretty fucking epic as friends.

Not only did I get this sent to me by my best friend, no, she did so because she first fell in love with the music and THEN realised it's malazan themed, but she's never read any of the novels and only knows of the series because I'm such a fangirl. But the best part was her comment, which was along the lines of 'Say, is it possible that this favourite author of yours managed to write a story that's all about carnage and bloodshed and epic wars but infused with a spark of hope throughout?'

So, making me happy are both the good music and having a best friend that's so smart and generally great.

Went to the Ren Faire, had loads of fun. Went with my brother and nephew (those are two different people, for you Southerners and Aussies) and we watched a bunch of the comedy and music acts. Circa Paleo were particularly good, and their violinist is a babe. Old perv style nerds kept going up front to snap photos of her, but she seemed used to that kind of thing. Also we got lost in a maze for like 20 minutes.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Things worked out between me and Mr Awesome! Turns out he was tired and frustrated, and just really wished I would be happy for him, which I was and wasn't at the same time. He regretted saying it the moment he said it, and has been thinking about it the entire trip. As soon as he came home we had The Talk. He cried (!) because he was terrified he'd ruined everything with that stupid comment, then we talked it all through. And it was good!

Now, I think we're better off than before. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger and so on and so forth :p



This makes me happy ^_^









And also all the awesome gifts I got ...
Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

I lost a stone in the past month! Also we have 2 more viewings for our house! Oh yeah, we're moving. Back up North. To be near to Brood family. Also, thought tyre on my car was knackered. Turns out it was the wheel rim & they were able to fix it for a tenner rather £70! Good day!

busy, tiresome day. but in that good way. nice change after so many months of sitting on my ass all day.

I am quite pleased to have been asked to be one :D
And now I can see and do all sorts of stuff! I totally wanted to go round clicking on all the new buttons and shit, but I managed to restrain myself on account of not knowing what half of it does and not wanting to accidentally click the forum destruct button :p

I heard some of this a while ago, and it annoys me. It annoys me because I really like the music, but they really, really need a different vocalist. I like some metal, but I am not generally a fan of most of the "voices" their singers put on, and this type is one of my least liked. On top of not liking that voice in general, I just feel it does not at all fit the music, or the topic. The music and topics are all epic and grand. The voice sounds like Grima Wormtongue or Bidithal attempting to be hardcore. Not big or loud, but quiet, sleezy and doing a bad job of being grand.
I guess I want a good cover of it :p

What's making me happy right now: day off tomorrow.
I don't normally looking forward to my regular day off, but for some reason I am TIRED tonight (did extra shift at work and haven't had a day off since...the 31st of March, plus a bunch of extra shifts on some regular days in that space - otherwise just doing one extra shift would have no reason to make me tired at all) and I'm not really sure why, despite the stuff in brackets. Ah well, at least it means I'll sleep well tonight...
