Walking home from work today, I suddenly realised that I needed to hit the bathroom. As I kept walking, it became more and more of a pressing concern, I REALLY needed to get to that bathroom. With my iron will, originally developed as a means to cope with getting out of bed in the morning, I fought back the onslaught of urges to let my bowels have it their way and so completely ruin my day (and my pants). It was a close call, but with what later would become a textbook example of mind over matter, and also the cause for a new national holiday, I made it all the way back home, to safety, to liberation from the oppressive tyrant that is REALLY needing to hit the bathroom. Drunk on the sweet nectar of victory, I celebrated with a glorious visit to my second favourite toilet, accompanied by the magazine of my choice and the fanfare of a thousand trumpets.

If you've ever needed to go really bad, you'll know exactly how incredible it is to finally do it.

TL;DR: I came, I saw, I conquered.

Saw them at a festival two years ago. Played mostly from Sky Valley then, though (which, in my book, is far superior to anything else they've done). But yes, it was awesome (together with Monster Magnet and Grinderman).

Making me happy: the fact that I've just had a (well-deserved, honestly) two-day break from work (I normally do six days a week part-time, and have been doing full-time the same for the past two weeks hot off the heels of a ten-day run of my regular hours without any time off, with exams for uni coming on the last day of my full-time stuff @.@ and yes, I went straight from my morning exam to my work...), and I'm looking forward to a whopping 15 days off work starting next Tuesday. Go me! :p


Also, the people posting about not having jobs in the groove thread has made me much more grateful for my own present employment, and reminded me of the positive attitude towards my work I've let slip lately. Thanks guys (not to rub salt in the wound or anything, sorryyy)!

OK so I, once again, officially state that I do not understand women at all. After having a fight after which I thought I'm in serious trouble, now the gf apparently wants me even more. And figuratively growling and being an asshole once in a while is, apparently, sexy.


I should just stop trying to understand and just go with the flow.
