My brother's girlfriend is preggers- which is already awesome. and apparently on one ultrasound picture the little baby had its hand positioned next to its head in a perfect salute, so now our family refers to it as "major" (how's major?) and the other day, my bro and his girl were talking about names and my brother inconspicuously suggested "Karsa", upon which his girlfriend thought about it for a while and then said, yes, that sounds nice, what kind of a name is Karsa? My bro didn't say anything to that..... Awesomeness!

"It's Canadian."

yeah, i've always thought of canadians as forest-dwelling barbarians.Posted Image

i'll pass it on to her.
the whole name thing is even more hilarious when considering that our surname translates to giant, or savage, or both- just what my avatar stands for. rather fitting.

Haha. Love it!! Can't wait until I can have guitar chat with drunk Stormy.
I've let one of my friends borrow a guitar of mine, this is te second time, and I've still not heard him play anything.
Nice to see someone is progressing in this area.

Sitting down with Shiara on our comfy new office chairs for a tasty lunch and a few hours of gaming together.
Had a great night lastnight and should have a great one coming tonight. Then a game of Fantasy Craft tomorrow, which -given where it left off- should be starting with a big fight.

So, halfway through an awesome weekend :)

Talked to my insurance company and the dude suing me is doing so on dubiously fraudulent grounds. His car was repaired on my insurance's dime, and now he's reporting it totalled- and my insurance refuses to reevaluate the damages BECAUSE THEY ALREADY FIXED THEM.

Glad it works out Stormy.

My 2nd car got totalled almost 3 years ago when I took a left turn on a t-junction while my light was green and a guy who skipped the red light rammed my car just behind my right rear wheel. The impact was so hard that my car turned 90 degrees and smashed into a big pole on the left rear flank and veered of back on the road.
The guy was driving 90/100 KP/h with his Land cruiser while he also had a trailer attached where 80 kp/h was allowed.

The police reluctantly came while my car was partly blocking the entrance of the industrial area and were complete d*cks. I had to try to push my car out of the way with some help while on of my rear wheels was folded upwards and my axle was broken On top of that they refused to call a tow truck while they had too.

It was quite clear that he was guilty but his insurance company refused to pay because the police had handed in a false report claiming that the stoplights were not functioning and I was in defunct.

Thankfully I had an eye witness who would have been hit while he was making a right turn if I hadn't been making that left turn. He would have been off worse because the jeep would have hit him on the left side where he was sitting and he send an eye witness report claiming that the stoplights were functioning and his and mine were green (he was leaving the industrial area and I was entering it).

So about four/five months later his insurance company finally transferred the money to my bank account.

What is making me happy is that I finally got my car back from the garage.

It was there for about 1 month and 8 days while it was standing 95% of the time outside of the garage on a parking spot.

Oh car how I have missed tee.

Finished writing my thesis this afternoon, still have a month and a half until it's due. Feeling pretty good about where I am right now. Just gotta edit the damn thing now. :)

Two hours by car? Dude, that's hardly a drive :)

Though I guess if you take the kids with you it quickly turns into what would seem like a five hour trip.
