Just coming down from last night's DXM.
Time is finally starting to speed up. I remember listening to a 12 minute song, and by the time it finished it felt as though days had passed.
If I look back, I am lost.

How in any real sense are you and your favorite soccer team a "we"?

Actually, he's genuinely a reserve Manchester United player who you may have seen on the subs bench during recent matcYOU HAVE TO BE UTTERLY RETARDED TO LACK THE CAPABILITY TO COMPREHEND WHAT HE MEANS

I MEAN FUCK MAN

WHAT THE SHIT IS THAT POST

WHAT IS SO HARD ABOUT THE CONCEPT OF TEAM SPIRIT AND BEING ALL IN IT TOGETHER

ARE YOU A SIMPLETON

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

How in the heck is he or anyone here connected in a real manner to a professional team? Those people have no idea you exist as anything other than an abstract fragment of a great mass of fans that is often weirdly passionate, hateful or awesome.

I know and continually deal with prominent MMA fighters and grappling world champions, which is a great more interaction with a professional athlete than most people will ever have, yet I claim zero connection with them or their successes/failures. Only my own gym teammates that I train with, pouring out the blood, sweat and tears of competitive frustration and happiness, are the ones I claim such a connection as "we".

Its a British thing I think maybe Amph. Colloquial term for it. Illys right though dont shit the bed over it and start name dropping your 'world champions' when you knew what he meant.

It's not a British thing, it's a team spirit thing. If you think of a sports team as an organisation, as a member, I have shares in that organisation and as such I am entitled to feel that I am a part of that organisation. Especially since that organisation depends on its shareholders (fans) to remain in business.

That and the fact that the Collingwood Football Club is very vocal in remainding its fans that it is 'Our team' ;)

Speaking of Collingwood.........did anyone see our lovely (and somewhat boring, I'll admit) defeat of Richmond? :p

(I know, it's RIchmond, but since that's my dad's team I always get greater pleasure from beating them than I do from most other teams).

I watched it. Could have been better, but nooooo.... ;) Start of the third quarter was amazing though! Bangbangbangbang!

I'm happy because I just donated a bunch of old books to the Salvos...leaving an entire shelf free.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.
