Things that have been awesome:

-Cat was successfully (though not without issue) wrangled into the cat carrier (had to bundle her up in a towel completely, like a hobo bundle and push her in and close the door), and transplanted to the new condo where she's still be a little wonky and freaked out, but is generally getting on well.

-Tonight the last of the junk goes out from my old apt. for tomorrow's garbage pickup. After that it's the quick matter of some cleaning of the bathroom and I will be handing the key back over to my landlords later this week and will never have to be in that dank, hard-as-hell-to-keep-clean basement apartment again.

-DOWNTON ABBEY Series 2 is TEN episodes (instead of only the 6 that Series 1 is) and I've only just started them so I've got some great TV ahead of me.

-Post Office (at an extortionist cost) is forwarding my mail to the new place for 6 months, and I've changed it with various parties, including the government branches I deal with (Transportation, Health ect.)

-Oh and discovery of the books of British author Susan Hill has me very excited that she's written so many!

The fact that some people are actually annoyed at the forum auto changing some words to silliness.
Well, first I was very surprised that people seemed to actually complain, now they're complaining nonsense has me amused :p

Gasp! I'm so close, and yet so far! Wah.

Still, I'm happy because we found out at work that we're getting bonuses this year so...I am planning a shopping spree for next Friday (the bonus is in on Thursday). We're not talking Wall Street banker-type money, mind, but it's still a good amount so yay! I deserve it, dammit.

3 1/2 hrs in line (most of that outside in the cold and wind), but I got my hardcover 1st Ed. A GAME OF THRONES signed by George R. R. Martin! Also, met the man, he was very gracious!

There were SO many people there that they weren't letting anyone really ask him anything. He just sign, you'd thank him and move on.

I was dreading having to go to see a family friend of Mrs. QT's tonight who will be getting us a deal on a new bed...but she has assured me that I don't have to go (as long as I don't mind her picking out a mattress) and can stay home and relax (since I've not had a lot of time to do that the last few weeks)...so that makes me happy.
