I went back to writing my novel that I abandoned, and did what I've needed to for the past year; make a list of all the places and characters, so that I won't lose track in my own novel again, and actually, for the first time; PLAN. Once I started planning, the story finally felt mature and thought out. The feeling I got when I could see my story finally becoming what I hoped it would was amazing.

I fixed the internets!
Seriously, all it took was a rant in the groove messing thread after days of arguing with our internet provider? Or was it just a coincidence? Likely, but a good one.

I fell asleep listening to the ME3 soundtrack last night and as a result had some very awesome Reaper defeating dreams. XD

Yesterday I headed to the Future Music Festival at the Flemington Racecourse, courtesy of a free ticket given by a friend. That was awesome in itself, seeing as these tickets are about 120 bucks a pop, but that was a mere prelude to my first live music experience (yes, you read that right) and a witnessing of one of my most favourite bands of late: The Naked and Famous! Five piece indie rock band from NZ, for those who don't know. Sadly, they only played for about 45-50 minutes, rather than the prescribed 75, but oh my Buddha, it was still a blast! They were far better live than I expected, they played all my favourite songs (except one) and it was just so, buggering, TERRIFIC! Plus their lead singer is gorgeous, I think I'm in love
Jeez, when they finished up with "Young Blood" (their best song), the non-existent roof came off. Then it was just jumping and fist pumping to the music-which, of course, was bloody gold.
Absolutely psyched for this band. If they stray back into Australia at some point, I will be there!
And here's me at the end of the day

Things that have been awesome:
-Cat was successfully (though not without issue) wrangled into the cat carrier (had to bundle her up in a towel completely, like a hobo bundle and push her in and close the door), and transplanted to the new condo where she's still be a little wonky and freaked out, but is generally getting on well.
-Tonight the last of the junk goes out from my old apt. for tomorrow's garbage pickup. After that it's the quick matter of some cleaning of the bathroom and I will be handing the key back over to my landlords later this week and will never have to be in that dank, hard-as-hell-to-keep-clean basement apartment again.
-DOWNTON ABBEY Series 2 is TEN episodes (instead of only the 6 that Series 1 is) and I've only just started them so I've got some great TV ahead of me.
-Post Office (at an extortionist cost) is forwarding my mail to the new place for 6 months, and I've changed it with various parties, including the government branches I deal with (Transportation, Health ect.)
-Oh and discovery of the books of British author Susan Hill has me very excited that she's written so many!

The fact that some people are actually annoyed at the forum auto changing some words to silliness.
Well, first I was very surprised that people seemed to actually complain, now they're complaining nonsense has me amused

Gasp! I'm so close, and yet so far! Wah.
Still, I'm happy because we found out at work that we're getting bonuses this year so...I am planning a shopping spree for next Friday (the bonus is in on Thursday). We're not talking Wall Street banker-type money, mind, but it's still a good amount so yay! I deserve it, dammit.

3 1/2 hrs in line (most of that outside in the cold and wind), but I got my hardcover 1st Ed. A GAME OF THRONES signed by George R. R. Martin! Also, met the man, he was very gracious!
