I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

The DRIVE soundtrack.

It is glorious!

Just got back from my first workout in 6 months. Despite the sheer weakness I embody and my general lack of fitness/surplus in bosom I am happy.

Got the lifting bug back

Soooo...

We moved into our current place at the beginning of October 2011 and at the same time changed electricity providers. Over the past four months we have received not a single bill, despite frequent calls to ask when we would be receiving them. Assurances were given that the bills would be quarterly, so we would eventually get one. NADA.

So the other day Luci decided to call again and see what the hell was going on. After lengthy discussion, it was ascertained that they had been sending the bills to our old address, and that, in fact, those bills were for power usage at that same address. So who was providing our electricity??? This company is now updating our details on their files, will be sending someone out shortly to read our meter to commence ACTUALLY charging us, and have assured us that if another company has been metering it and says we have an outstanding debt, they will call back and be able to advise us, and let us know who it is. They say that it is entirely likely that no-one will challenge it, and if that's the case then we will not be charged for any of it.

I'd call that a win

So a few hours ago, my plan was to either:
1. Stand up, go to my room and sleep on my bed.
2. Curl up and sleep right here in the office.
3. Walk down the hill to acquire a drink of milk, and subsequently fall asleep on the floor.
4. Watch Howl's Moving Castle.
5. Watch Howl's Moving Castle in my bedroom and fall asleep at the same time.
OR 6. All of the above... Somehow.

But instead, I ended up procuring my Visa card and spending $300 worth of books on Amazon... O caprice!

Tickets for Blood Red Shoes (new album due out) and Nouvelle Vague are in, but Orbital was sadly sold out. Still, 2 out 3 ain't bad

Had you gotten tix to ORBITAL I'd have been pleased for you and eternally jealous...since the chances they'll come to Canada are SLIM.

Yeah, I know. Would have been awesome. The new album release tour seems to be UK only, with 3 forays to NL, Belgium and Paris only, and Tenerife and Japanese festival gigs only.

Got TWENTY book boxes, flat and brand new from the back warehouse at work (and a full roll of packing tape) totally for free for my move! That was exciting.

Not so exciting, carting that stack of boxes home on the transit. Still, it's done and tonight I begin to pack up the book collection, since when Mrs. QT arrives home week after next from FLA vacation we will begin to move my shit over to her place.

Very awesome, though all I can think when looking at them is the wasted space in the smaller sections. LOL

Those are for magazines, apparently. Or dozens of baby food jars filled with teeth. Whatever your interests may be.

Today is my birthday, and I'm in a great mood :p
And festivities have yet to start at all. All I've done so far is a little last minute cleaning, and some stuff online.

However, Centz is due any moment to pick me up and take me out for lunch, then we are grabbing snacks for tonight, then if there's some time, Wolfy is buying me a few drinks out, then it's a bunch of friends at mine and Shiara's for a few drinks and good chatting. Am muchly looking forward to it all.

Oh yeah. Facebook said it was your bday last night. Happy birthday!

To celebrate (or rather, the real reason I was posting in this thread): Auckland's weather today? THUNDER.

No, not rain, not storms, 'Thunder'. Fuck yeah. (Though technically it is a 'sever thunderstorm warning' that may later lead to hail, very heavy rain, and F1 tornadoes...but those are STILL COOL and it is more awesome on the weather update to see it just called "Thunder")

Awesome. I wish thunder just spontaneously happened every once in a while.

What's making me happy is that while I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door - Only this, and nothing more.'
Only I was wrong and it was in fact a copy of The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe XD

I love it when books knock at my door. :p

EDIT: Another book just knocked on my door. Today is a good day.
