I finally found time to get back on the forum. (also, I'd lost my password, but that's not important)

On a whole different note, I am actually, for oddity's sake, getting somewhere with a girlPosted Image

American Harvest Vodka.

Spectacular.

Best American vodka I've ever tasted by far.

And so, it's meh?

Making me happy is the Bake-Off 2, Electric Boogaloo tomorrow.

I will be making the classic: Chocolate Chip Cookies, and everyone else will be culled like the chaff they are. However, it's the primary happiness factor that I get to see a bunch of awesome people.

Spectacular.

By the same guy who designed Grey Goose, and it's better.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Restarted DE:HR and with some advice from forum members, improved my hacking immediately. The game is much more accessible/ enjoyable than before and while its still not grabbing me its not a bad game.

My youngest brother just asked me what the famous quote from Gough Whitlam was.

I told him it was -

'Ladies and gentlemen', he writes it down, 'may we say', writes it down, "Quick Ben Save the Queen", he writes it down. 'because nothing will save the Governor-General', he writes it down.

He reads over it - '*mumble* may we say *mumble* Quick Ben save the......HANG ON!!! That's not it!'

'You're right, it should say 'well may we say.' :D

MY ex emailed me (not the ones that I hate and don't talk to me, the one that I'm still talking to and jealous of the man she's marrying) the greatest fucking job opportunity ever.

It's my dream-position at the moment. It's a part-time (2 days a week) position at an absurdly prestigious highschool in San Francisco teaching science and biology. And though they're looking for a Princeton alumnus (which is how she got the lead) I've got 2 alumni willing to write me letters of rec, and I'm willing to commute and take as little pay as they offer.

I'm super psyched, and I'm putting in my resume tomorrow (after I get my mother, type A corporate SuperBitch to review it).

EDIT: IN RETURN FOR HELPING MY FRIEND MOVE IN TO HIS NEW APARTMENT, HE GAVE ME HIS OLD ELECTRIC GUITAR. IT'S A MOTHERFUCKING GIBSON.

OST on amazon.ca suddenly went from a Feb 28 release date to immediately available, so I finally ordered it. In a couple weeks I'll be able to jump into that forum and call everyone else an idiot.

Some old geek humor I dug up... This still cracks me up... a lot of old techie terms, but still a goodie...

I'm a Luser (To the tune of Loser by Beck)

In the day of sysop nerds I was a flunkie
Jolt in my brains and body feeling chunky
With the plastic mouse balls spray paint the Commodore
System install with the hard drive on the floor

Kill the process and put it in /dev/null
Email flaming with the user hitting D-control
Shell's called Reno and it's written in C
Got a couple of xterms, keys set to repeat

Root came sayin' I'm insane to complain
About an online wedding and a stain on my screen
Don't believe everything that you make
you get a cracker from Europe and a login that's fake

So write your code in Perl in the dark
Saving all your hacks for working at a tech park
Yo - punch it

So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me?
(Double dense floppy)
So - dumping core
I'm a user, baby, so why don't you kill me

Forces of evil in a MUD/MOO nightmare
Ban all the members in a phony chat channel 'cause
One's got a handle and the other's got a .plan
One online spammed the other and ran

With the FTP and the insane print job
The daytime crap of the alt.test slob
He hung himself with a call to ping
Twenty milliseconds and it's spitting out another string

RTFM if you can't relate
Trade the Sun for a car and the Web for a date
And MIME is a nifty hack for mailing to a newbie
That's choking on my MPEGs

So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(Get crazy with the caps lock)
So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(Drive-by BIFF post)

Yo, bring it on down
...
I'm a hacker, I'm a winner
Program's gonna work, I can feel it!

So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(I can't retrieve you)
So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(NULL)
So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(Sprecken sie DOS eh, baby)
So - dumping core
I'm a user baby, so why don't you kill me
(Know what I'm typin'?)
