I just heard someone use the word Wiccan on TV.

I know it's not the same but it was cool :crybaby:

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Am rather jealous of Pathos. But other than that, having a good day at work and going over to my mates' place for drinks and election watching. I'm sensing a drinking game could be made out of this...

It most certainly could be! In fact, I thought drinking games based around elections were traditional? XD

And speaking of...

DragonForce (and Rum)

I hope this (and Rum) means that you were, in fact, engaging in the DragonForce drinking game! :crybaby:

Quote

Put on a DragonForce album. Make sure you have a lot of drinks handy.
Take a drink for each of the following words:* Weak drinkers should pick three or four. Actually, weak drinkers should skip this game entirely.
Sword/Swords
Steel
Fire/Flames
Battle
Burning
Fly/Flying
Fight/Fighting
Sky/Skies
Pain
Evil
Free/Freedom
Heart/Hearts
Night
Dark/Black/Darkness
Fear
One drink for each minute over 6, per song.
Drink for each guitar solo
Two drinks for each keyboard solo
Drink when you reach the slow song of each album, if you're still sober enough to notice

Which, btw, will put ANYONE on the floor after about half an album. Because their lyrics pretty much consist of those words, and conjunctions. :admin:

The TV Tropes entry used to be much more funny, though, I'm disappointed. It had an in-joke about the claims they speed up their playing in the studio...something like:

"And if you're really brave, you can use ALL the words."
"No-one could possibly drink that fast...could they?"
"They sped up their drinking in the studio!"

Except, obviously, better. XD

The way NZ Election 2011 turned out. Sadly not a perfect result for the country, but the expected one, probably the best possible one. :admin:

On the flipside, apparently the majority of people who voted still desire to keep our insane system, MMP, instead of looking to change it. Very disappointing, but I guess this is the result of the way things were set up for the referendum. Next time, perhaps. :crybaby:

This belongs in the messing with my groove thread, Silencer, you're doing it wrong.

Also, MMP is awesome. I prefer not having a two party state, thank you :p

Socialist! :crybaby:

Moreover, what part of FPP, SM, STV, or the other system implies two-party state by default? Moreover, those SHOULD NOT be the only options on the table. The point is that if we can look at change, we should have a proper look - the referendum was set up wrong, sure, but that doesn't preclude anything.

I take it your'e one of those people who frames the referendum in terms of FPP vs MMP? Because if so, you're doing that purely out of a head-in-the-sand mentality regards MMP. Because you apparently like 1% of the population's representatives dictating to 99% of the population? UNDEMOCRATIC. BROKEN. WRONG. How can you not see that, KL? XD

I'll add that one to the list. It's getting long and slightly contradictory, but I'm okay with that.

I was going do a long post about how wrong you are, but 1) I'm tired and hangovery and can't be bothered and 2) no one else cares except us, especially not in the happy thread. So drinks this Wednesday or next? :crybaby:

Heh. At least I don't proclaim people 'communist' when they are actually socialists, like half of the rest of the world does. XD

Yeah. We can hardly have a NZ Politics debate here when there are hardly any other Kiwis and this thread is certainly not the right place. :crybaby: At the moment, I'm good for this Wednesday, but today was long and I've got sunburn, and depending on how work goes tomorrow and Tuesday, I may be worn out by then...shouldn't be, but let's call it a 'tentative' plan? :admin:

Eh, somehow I doubt it. International travel to meet internet friends trumps organizing meetups via the 'net for RL friends any day. :crybaby:

Terrible red wine hangover and Sing Star showboating injuries from last night. It should be messing with my groove but it's giving me the perfect excuse to stay in bed all day. Already finished watching Supernatural season 6, now onto the Game Of Thrones tv series :crybaby:

I met Jump Around and his lady wife for drinks and a city walk in my hometown today (more malazan people should prove their actual existence to me that way), who are both lovely people. They have the evidence in pictures.
