Enjoying Symphony X's new album with a functioning computer again. Thanks Mr. James. :)

Anytime man :) I've always been a fan of symphony X, and Iconoclast is the cherry on top of all their awesomeness Posted Image

On topic, I just came back from a week's vacation in southern France. even though my memory of said week is hazy, I recall the sea, canoeing, and a fuck load of Jack Daniels...
there may have been some weed-mixed Hookah...But in all honesty I'm not really sure! :p

Week one of gardening leave done and dusted. Other half is away watching football so I have the place to myself. I am so relaxed, I need to check for a pulse. Three weeks left to go. Sometimes, you just can't find anything to complain about :)

Although I have decided my next door neighbour is people trafficking. The other half suggested I may think that because I watched a documentary about Jaycee Lee Dugard last night and have too much time on my hands. CSI Hertfordshire never goes off duty! I've got three weeks to prove my case.

I was about to go to bed, but a friend keeps texting me, hating on the GoT series, Ned especially. It's hilarious. Especially considering that the girl whose pants he wants to get into started the books recently and is giving him an earful of how awesome it is. Also, I just introduced him to TV tropes. More hilariousness.

One day Puck, I'll put together that post showing the forum how fucked TVTropes is. And it is, there's no denying that. But I don't have time at the moment.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I'm not denying it either. The hilariousness lies in the reaction of my friend. He's very fond of going off on long rants abouts things, only to be proven wrong in the end, and TV Tropes delivers a lot of fuel for my amusement in these next few weeks.

I'd love to read that post of yours one day, of course.

In at uni in my office, plotting my latest set of experiments, that I have to complete in roughly 7 weeks. I'm actually looking forward to the stress and pressure of it.

I also have coffee. Whee!
"Sir, you are drunk!"
"Yes madam, I am, but in the morning I will be sober, and you will still be ugly."

So the day started good with the sun coming up. Clear blue skies and 18 degrees in the shine.

Then I went into the city to help my friend do her studio art modeling thing, which involved me holding a cardboard trumpet and looking pensive. It was nice and quick too, and I stopped off for a bowl of chips at this divine little cafe I know of.

Met up with Lex about an hour later, we trained it back to my place. Usual conversation mixed in with the occasional makeout. Planned on sitting down and having a Firefly marathon, but as circumstances would have it, my sister had a basketball game and that meant both my parents had to head out. Leaving us alone in the house. Not a soul stirring save my noisy computer's hard drive.

So I won't trouble you with all the details....save that by the time my parents returned, the sheets were mussed, we were both good and sweaty and our shirts were on the floor. A mad scramble to get dressed at hearing their voices was the last word. A particularly vigorous section while "Immigrant Song" boomed out of my speakers was the highlight.

After that it was revealed that my copy of Serenity was not in fact missing, and although we had to leave too early to take her home, I snagged some extra time with her aboard the train, which led to more quality time :)

Best part? The parents, to quote Will Smith, ain't even mad.

Good day. :)

I made awesome pancakes with pear sauce. Now all I can do is roll around, not walk. But it was so worth it :)

Oh, and I'm all alone at home this weekend, yay :)

Had a lovely lie in. Woke up with my son sitting on the bed playing with my iPhone. When I awoke he said "morning daddy, I love you." He's such a gorgeous little angel.
Then my GF shouts through,"would you like some sausage and egg?"
Yes please.
I haven't even got out of bed yet.
I love my family. Having a real happy moment.

Good for you both. :p

On topic.

Had a very nice (fish) bbq yesterday evening with family at an aunt and uncle with even my brother being there with his girlfriend which doesn't happen very often.

Also the Broncos winning the home opener in pre season after losing the first game by one point made my day
