Why were you keeping it secret?

So the day started good with the sun coming up. Clear blue skies and 18 degrees in the shine.

Then I went into the city to help my friend do her studio art modeling thing, which involved me holding a cardboard trumpet and looking pensive. It was nice and quick too, and I stopped off for a bowl of chips at this divine little cafe I know of.

Met up with Lex about an hour later, we trained it back to my place. Usual conversation mixed in with the occasional makeout. Planned on sitting down and having a Firefly marathon, but as circumstances would have it, my sister had a basketball game and that meant both my parents had to head out. Leaving us alone in the house. Not a soul stirring save my noisy computer's hard drive.

So I won't trouble you with all the details....save that by the time my parents returned, the sheets were mussed, we were both good and sweaty and our shirts were on the floor. A mad scramble to get dressed at hearing their voices was the last word. A particularly vigorous section while "Immigrant Song" boomed out of my speakers was the highlight.

After that it was revealed that my copy of Serenity was not in fact missing, and although we had to leave too early to take her home, I snagged some extra time with her aboard the train, which led to more quality time :)

Best part? The parents, to quote Will Smith, ain't even mad.

Good day. :)

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

I made awesome pancakes with pear sauce. Now all I can do is roll around, not walk. But it was so worth it :)

Oh, and I'm all alone at home this weekend, yay :)

Had a lovely lie in. Woke up with my son sitting on the bed playing with my iPhone. When I awoke he said "morning daddy, I love you." He's such a gorgeous little angel.
Then my GF shouts through,"would you like some sausage and egg?"
Yes please.
I haven't even got out of bed yet.
I love my family. Having a real happy moment.

Going to the latest CIRQUE DU SOLEIL today TOTEM. Should be fun times...even if it's rainy out....perhaps especially cause it's rainy out!

Good for you both. :p

On topic.

Had a very nice (fish) bbq yesterday evening with family at an aunt and uncle with even my brother being there with his girlfriend which doesn't happen very often.

Also the Broncos winning the home opener in pre season after losing the first game by one point made my day

@Dutch- Nah not quite, she kept her bra and pants on, but we took off our shirts and messed around, more than we had previously :)

I'm happy because that gargantuan Theatre Studies test is deader than disco and I got out at lunchtime. Now I'm at home watching the new Underbelly :)

Seriously, Isn't_That_Righteous, we appreciate you're excited and happy and in love and all but we do not need a blow by blow account (pun intended like a motherfucker) of every fresh new step of your burgeoning relationship, thank you. This is the internet. You will find this later and be horribly embarassed, and best case Lex won't be behind you reading the screen over your shoulder at the time. If she's not off trying to hit Superman in the dick with a kryptonite club or whatever she does for a hobby.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Exactly Cy. In any case AIJ, I'd be a bit more careful about how much you share with us in future. If you want her to open up to you she has to be able to trust you, and posting such intimate details to what are essentially strangers on the internet doesn't exactly help your cause. Nothing wrong with asking for advice, mind you, and being happy about it, but a little discretion on some of the juicier details wouldn't hurt. :)

EDIT - bit harsh Illy.

Meh, this is the happy thread. I say AIJ can post whatever he wants as long as it is making him happy.

In this case his happiness takes the form of his burgeoning relationship, and it doesn't bother me one bit to read about it.

If people have to read Illy's anger-infused, curse-peppered, ALL CAPITALS rants every 3rd post... :) ...then why not AIJ's love too.

I find him describing his girlfriend's underwear during their torrid romps a little excessive, personally, but it's his private information about his partner to share without her permission if he wants.

I am also having an extraordinarily bad day so I might be more harsh than usual.

So, uh, drinking with friends tomorrow! And Thursday! Human Revolution on Friday! Can't come soon enough!

Last official day of work until 19 September and on Friday start 3 weeks holiday in South Africa. And England just completed 4-0 whitewash of India to cement their position as top cricket dog. Pity the economy is almost the exact mirror opposite
