Friday night, delicious supper in my gut, cold beverages, tunes (listening to the latest Mudvayne...), maybe some combustibles later and darts...life is good!

I'M HAPPILY GETTING SFITHACED.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

WAT?
You’ve never heard of the Silanda? … It’s the ship that made the Warren of Telas run in less than 12 parsecs.

Spent the afternoon talking to a guy from Brooklyn with the coolest accent in the world! He sounded like Robert DeNiro. He gave me his card and said I should call him if I ever "get in trouble with the NYPD". He picked up my tab in the bar and refused to let me buy him a drink in return because he "don't need no broad" to pay for his beer. Also, my sister went on a ride-along with the the DCPD today. After getting flashed yesterday, I have finally come to the conclusion, this country is frickin crazy!

I'M NOT PISSING BLOOD ANYMORE

For a given value of 'at the moment'. BUT THAT'S STILL BETTER THAN RIGHT NOW
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

The missus came back from London today with a 12 box of krispy kremes (doughnut crack!)

Watching episodes of the Wire back to back off the digi recorder, cold brews and a bit of a buzz on.

Everythings gravy. ;)
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

The sun has been out and Spring would appear to have well and truly sprung... Which is all good.

Presumably there's also something that's been added to the water where I work too, as over the past few days I have been told, independently, by five different women (whose ages range from early 20s to mid 50s, how smokin' hot I've been looking recently. Which has done wonders for this 39 year old's self esteem...

I feel like I should have the "Theme From Shaft" playing whenever I walk down the office now...

If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Bottle of wine, favourite pyjamas, movies, done my nails. Normally a hideously dull Saturday night, but right now the bum groove in my sofa feels like coming home.....which I have!!! Ahhhh, home.....and proper cheese. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet.
