I just had the best long weekend in NYC with the other half for our 10 year anniversary together and my birthday.

It had:
Champagne breakfasts
Katz's deli pastrami sandwiches, where I think I ate a whole cow
Romantic strolls in Central Park
Beer
Frozen pomegranite margueritas
A lot of pizza
A funky afternoon in Brooklyn
Cake
Free upgrade to a king size hotel room, bonza!!
Two nights of being so drunk, I passed clean out when we got home. I think my alcohol tolerance has severley reduced while I have been in the US!! The other half says I am turning into a lush :D

And lots lots more. Now I'm all loved up and don't get to see Mr PigDog for another month *cry*

Had a great morning, got up early and went to Devil's Dyke and walked all around it and the length of it, which is pretty cool. On a clear day you're supposed to be able to see as far as the Isle of Wight, but it wasnt that clear so I could just see plenty of fields. But it was still pretty cool. One of my mate's is a nature person and he was pointing out all the wildlife stuff, including this type of beetle which he picked up then made a funny noise at, and it produces this drop of blood-like red irritant out of it's face, which is amusingly odd. And after a few hours of walking, there's nothing quite as rewarding as a slap-up pub lunch with plenty of pints of delicious local ale.

And later tonight, Im off on a delightful binge, culminating in what Im sure will be another painfully shite display of what my drunken tired mind perceives as dancing at some godawful club full of horribly energetic people. And then a kebab and vomit. Ah, I love student life.

Wow, that's half my age! Dedication. I salute you and wish you a retroactive birthdayversary of epic enjoyfulness.

And now, I can return to feeling youthful and youngish, with my boyish youngness/

Them Jews know how to cook a cow, and also how best to arrange it between two slices of bread.

Eating out in this country has always been top notch. It is the average grocery stuff that is bad :D

@ Toby - Ta! We were teenage sweethearts and neither of us has fucked up enough to cause a split .... yet. General weekend consensus was "10 YEARS?!?! How did that happen?!" It does help that we have lived in different cities for almost half of that time.

Stumbled Upon, Firefox add-on. It's like giving the blind the ability to see. I lurve this thing.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I had the most hilarious conversation at work today with a girl from China. She has had a very sheltered upbringing in a well-to-do family and has been living in New Jersey for a short while. Encountering someone with absolutely no understanding of the concept of political correctness or social diversity is just mind boggling. We had a conversation about a gay gentleman at work and also about the local area being primarily African-American and highly crime ridden. I have never winced so much in my life, it was like being in the 19th Century!

Details! We (I) demand details! Gross over-exaggeration? Unknowing use of ethnic stereotypes?

How the hell does that happen?

I've never been there but from what i gather that seems to be difficult to do.

Both of those and an eye-wateringly blunt use of the English language! It was ..... astonishing and so bad that I really don't wish to post any examples here even as an explanation!

I don't think it is possible to post on /b/ and not be trolling. Like they say, trolling /b/ is like pee'ing in a sea of pee.

I was posting on /b/. I made two "Prove me wrong threads" in a roll. Some mod was pissed! :)

One of them was demanding Rule 34 on Jerry Springer (I don't think it exists)
