Getting ready to do laundry, I was checking my pockets, and I found a horribly crumpled up $10 bill. meaning, I didn't blow all my money on alcohol Friday night.

Results for my Certificate of Proficiency in English are here and... grade: A :p

I'm cautiously optimistic that two months of ear and sinus problems that have left me recently with about 50% hearing in my left ear is getting better. Very very cautiously optimistic. It'd be heart-breaking to think I was getting better finally and then to revert.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Just found an online store that sells my favourite brand of watercolours, yay! Ever since a store nearby [well, in a nearby city] stopped selling them I had to rely on somebody buying them in Ukraine and sending them over here.
