Well all my feelings about the iPad were confirmed today as I got to mess about on one (the launch date was friday here in the UK I think...)
Sure it is pretty and there are some fun things to do on it - more or less the same as an iPhone or iPod touch. But essentially it is a massive waste of money and mostly pointless, especially for most of the people who are going to be getting one.
I can see it being useful in a scenario like a hospital where if they could develop some good patient care software, they could have everything linked on a massive database where they wouldn't have to have so many patient charts etc. It would all be there for them.
Aside from that, use your money to get something more worthwhile. Like a massive TV or something.

Epic BBQ tonight. My church does one every year and we call it Meat Fest. loads of people turned up, and I, as one of the two chefs, must have cooked a few hundred burgers. Great time!
