Just had a very nice evening with Luci, Shiara, Silencer, Centz and Wolfy plus a couple of non Malazans, the occasion being Centz is up at the moment and recently had a birthday.

A Portal has been set up in Philadelphia, in Love Park.

No clues yet on where the other side is.

Here's hoping that it's bulletproof...

Yeah, sorry. Only thought about that afterward. :(

Geek update:

Comet A3 has been a fucking beauty to watch at sunset. It was pure white fire to Neowise’s emerald cloud. My new Galaxy S24 Ultra is so good at picking it up. Really good view in my nocs. I hope y’all have been able to catch A3 as well. If not then hurry up because it’s almost done with the easy viewing.

Did about 60 clicks on the bike yesterday, due to it likely being the last autumn weekend with such good weather.

Made it to the office today, because then I went to a concert by Okean El'zy.

My hands are going to be very painful tomorrow from all the clapping. My legs probably slightly less so from the jumping

Good times, all in all.

Passed my molecular covid test... now I'm about seven hours in to my five day chocolate-only fast. (Pure unsweetened cacao powder, that is---200 calories / day, mainly for the fiber. And the fullness.)

In the worst case scenario, I may have to play a video game
To distract myself from the hungering pains...

If only becoming an immortal cyborg were so easy.

But by fasting to slow my aging, I do hope to behold my utopian visions come to fruition... (and not as Tantalusian fruit-swords of Damocles)

Is this a Zoom thing or an actual real world tavern?

I googled RPG taverns in Northern Ireland and got:

Quote

Beechmount Avenue in west Belfast has been known as “RPG Avenue”,

Oh cool an entire avenue devoted to RPG's?

Quote

after the rocket-propelled grenade launchers used by the IRA.

Oh...

(not to minimize the troubles in Ireland but) Azath this is the single funniest thing you will do today and nothing else you do will match it. Take a victory lap around the room/street/neighborhood, turn off all your devices, have some pizza, some alcohol, maybe some drugs, sex with/out another person whatever, and go to bed.
